Very difficult class. Don't expect to not do work on your on time. Cook is a hilarious and caring woman, she wants you to learn, just show her you do too. Record classes & take LOTS of notes. Go over material learned in text book and go to her if you need help! Continuously go over material, exams are not easy!

This is not an easy class. But people seem to forget that 1) This is college, not grade school, and 2) Microbio is an extremely complex field. It's crazy to me that people complain about this class but expect to be doctors and nurses. FOH. Prof. Cook is hilarious, very intelligent and really does want you to learn this info. You just have to care.

VERY difficult class. Record lectures from Day 1. Read chapter assignments ahead of class, take clear notes and review them a LOT. Study groups may be helpful. Organize. There is a lot of material to learn, so pay attn and study. Plan to review your notes often and relearn material--the cumulative final WILL be difficult with all that material.

She is funny. Her style of teaching basically threw me off the bus. I didn't do well. I knew from the very beginning that I will not do good in her class. I tried to take this class out for the semester but I will lose like 1/3 of what I paid already. So I took a chance. Then yes it happened. Worst teacher. Pretty much my GPA went down.

She was a very sweet funny woman. Smiled when she arrived to class (usually a few minutes late). Notes were spread across board and you have to be quick when copying them, or you will get lost. Although I understood the material, tests were near impossible to pass unless you understand gibberish and you like trickery. Not present in class alot

Very funny professor! I loved going to her class every day. She may disappear at times like a magician but she is very usefully for lab. Pay attention and try to understand whats happening in the lab and you will do fine. Just follow her instruction. 2 papers and 2 practical

At times she may disappear but she will help you as much as she can. Again the lab was not bad at all. Study and understand why things are changing and happening and you will be fine.2 practicals,2 papers

She is a nice lady, really funny. This subject was hard but she is fair and if you retype your notes it helps a lot. Like any science course with a lab, you cant be lazy and you have to actually study. I took her for both lecture and lab and I recommend her.

Dr. Cook is a brilliant intellectually dynamic woman. she does not suffer fools lightly. If you are a serious and hardworking student she will treat you very well. If you are the type who thinks a career in health is your god given right and she should pass you along just because- she is not the teacher for you

She is a great professor. She curves so if you think you failed, chances are you didn't. You actually have to attend class because everything on the exams are in the notes. She will further explain anything you are confused about. You have to want to fail.

Iris was one of only a few professors I actually learned something from. She knows how to motivate students and I found her to be a caring, helpful instructor..Where all this negativity comes fro, I don't know. Iris, is top of the heap in my book. Paul Mancuso class '86

I already have MA & BA from top colleges, and she was one of worst profs I ever had. Tests didn't make sense (& I am a conscientious student/studied ahead for exams). She disappeared during lab for an hour at a time. Used unclear handouts. I believe she knows her subject quite well, but doesn't understand her students' needs at all. Take elswhere!

WORST TEAHCER I'VE EVER HAD. She uses handouts that are from 1986 literally. Outdated, just like her and her teaching style. Her tests are unfairly hard and you are not given enough time. It is because of teachers like this that I dislike the teachers union. Funny, nice women, but the worst teacher I've ever had.

I dislike this teacher the most of any one I have had at WCC. All the comments about how she is, that are bad, are correct. She goes super fast, and writes all over the board. The handouts that she gives you to study from are awful copies and so confusing. She curves her tests high b/c the we don't know the answers. DON'T TAKE HER EVER!!!
