Great professor. Tests were always stressful because she doesn't give out a study guide so it's hard to memorize 2-4 lectures. Final was a breeze. Would definitely recommend!!!

I registered for this class prior to looking her up on here. After reading about how hard her exams were, I was worried. However, I don't think I've ever learned a subject & as much information about it as I did in this class. You end up learning way better and more by her tests not being multiplr choice. Trust me. This class changed my life.

Don't study lecture notes the day before - study beforehand and the test will be easy. Exams are not multiple choice, all essay/short answer - so that's why it may be considered tricky. She is fair and helpful. She will explain until everyone understands. She also loves her subject.

Dr. Sumaya is the best professor in the world!!! She made this class interesting and understandable. I have never met a professor so enthusiastic and understandable.. She makes sure all students understand the material 100%. Her class and enthusiasm made me become even more excited about my psych major! You can't go wrong with Sumaya!!

Professor Sumaya is a good professor and teaches the subject matter pretty well. However, here tests are quite difficult because they force students to actually know the material as oppose to just rote memorization. All of her tests are straight from her outdated powerpoints. Also, everything is fair game on her powerpoints so study everything.

Sumaya is another professor who actually expects the student to learn. Oh no! It saddens me that they get the lowest scores on a site like this. She is an eclectic and very intelligent lady. I learned so much about biopsych and the brain. To the people below, it won't hurt ya to know a little bit about how the brain works; it is basis of psych.

I had Dr. Sumaya for BioPsych and it was without a doubt the hardest course I have ever taken and I am about to graduate. I am a psych major though and not a bio major. The course was mostly Biology, which I enjoyed but it was hard. I Got a C and I worked hard for it. Aside from difficulty I would recomend Dr. Sumaya.
