Don't take Cominsky. She is fair, but very tough. I took CI271 online, and the class did not use a book. Instead, she sent papers that make sense if you are related to a nuclear scientist. After my final project went missing because of MVCC's email system, we had to go to the dean to convert an F to a C. Your GPA will drop, as mine did (3.8-3.5).

HORRIBLE! She knows what she teaches, but if you don't know it as well as her..forget it! Don't even bother to ask questions. She will not help you if you ask a question. DON'T EVER TAKE HER! She is THE WORST prof. EVER! AVOID HER IF POSSIBLE!

Professor Cominsky is an excellent teacher. I had her for 5 classes, three being preqs. From the first class to the last of the tier she had went from 25 students to 6(me being one of them). She is a great teacher and you will learn alot, IF you take the class serious and don't ask stupid questions.

She knows her stuff, but she's a cold person, almost REPTILIAN. She uses SUPER trick questions on her tests that can traumatize you for life. Don't irritate her and ask too many questions, you'll get more than you bargained for.

Izzy tends to focus of theory much more than hands-on work, and tends to spend a lot of time on the same thing. Classes tend to be boring and entirely lecture, but course is doable if you work.
