Dr. J is one of the absolute BEST professors at WSU, easily. He obviously cares, knows, & ENJOYS what he's teaching & is always willing to help & answer questions - although you'll rarely have any, bc he is always on top of things. Quick grader w/ great feedback! Definitely need to watch assigned films for weekly quizzes, but that's easy. 11/10!!

J. Paul is super nice and really really helpful when it comes to homework and papers. He sets up conferences outside of class time to go over your papers with you and it's incredibly helpful. I would highly HIGHLY recommend him to anyone.

Dr. J is an amazing professor! He cares about his students and he is passionate about what he teaches. Film 240 is a class that isn't hard if you put in the work. It's not a slacking class, but an easy A if you do the assigned, easy readings and are able to critically think. I highly recommend!!!

He's unbelievably understanding, makes class fun and entertaining, and does a wonderful job of making his students feel like their voice carries weight in class discussions. There aren't enough characters in this text box to describe how wonderful he is. Johnson is a "must have" on your schedule at WSU

However if you want a class that challenges your views, shows you a variety of films and has discussions with classmates & the intellectual prof then this class is perfect. Professor Johnson is an amazing professor. If you need help, he'll do what he can. By the second week of class he had students name and major memorized. Throughout the semester if there was something happening that had to do with my major, he would let me know. He's passionate about what he teaches and it makes the class enjoyable.

Dr. J is arguably my favorite professor at WSU. He is visibly passionate about the subjects he teaches, and that infuses his lectures with added interest. Attendance is required, yet you are able to email him a summary of the reading material if you miss class for participation points. He articulates assignment criteria clearly, and grades fairly.

ENG 250 was a difficult course for me, and the only thing that is graded are the 3 exams. However, if you do your work and go to class you will learn a lot and it will pay off! Also professor Johnson is always willing to help and he is a great professor!

This class was a lot of fun! Students are assigned different genres of literature to read, watch the film adaptations, and then discuss them in class. Daily quizzes and blog posts are assigned. Not too hard, but very interesting and fun for an elective. Professor Johnson is awesome!
