Comment:
slightly difficult but genuinely interesting and Fruchtman is a really great professor. He's not as tough a grader as you'd assume, I was terrified and very unprepared for the first paper and got a 98%. Does require some effort. One (1page) case outline a week (10 overall), two short-answer tests and a short answer/essay final, two 10-page papers.

Dr. Fruchtman is one of the best professors Towson has to offer. He knows his stuff and makes class interesting and informative. This is a seminar (not lecture), so participation matters. Don't be afraid to speak up. Grade is determined by participation, three 8-12 page papers, and an optional final exam. Take him whenever you get the chance!

He is the boss in Constitutional law and politics. Take POSC 418, 419, 420 with him before taking classes like POSC 381, 383, 422, or 425.

The books are needed everyday. Fruchtman can be arrogant at times so if you can't stand this, don't take him. The workload is about right for a 400level class. Don't need to read everything. Recommend typing notes in class and outlining the cases. Do the study guides with others. 3 exams, one 5 page paper, one 10 pager, final is cumult & open note.

I've had him for several classes and anyone who writes a negative review is mad because they didn't go to class and performed poorly because of it. If you show up and pay attention, you'll get A's on everything. He marks up papers, but mostly just grammar/spelling. Very easy to talk to, very smart, very nice. Always wiling to help, just ask.

If you aren't plan on going to law school I do NOT suggest taking his classes. Class is about memorization. Impossible to please the man in writing. Even after following his models and criteria I am still somehow not receiving acceptable grades. Don't even want to approach him outside of class. Not understanding at all. Memorize EVERYTHING or fail.

Fruchtman is an expert in his field for sure; he's never stumped by questions and can thoroughly explain concepts so there is no confusion. Because of this, if you attend most of the classes, it requires less effort than a 10th grade civics class; anyone who says it's a heavy workload obviously tried to learn everything the night before exams.

Very good honors seminar. We read 2 cases for a class and then discussed and debated them. 3 essays and a take home final. A great class to take.

Seems to be very confused between "objective" and "subjective" questions. Pompous, but intelligent and interesting. Would only take him if you are really dedicated or planning to go to law school.

Fruchtman was a memorable Professor. He was funny, incredibly well informed on every aspect of the Constitutional Law class, and it seemed he wanted to help his students succeed. It is important if you have him as a professor, that you take the time to meet with him outside of class, to discuss any questions you may have. He is very approachable.

He writes incredibly small on the board and his comments on papers and exams are nearly illegible. He also seems to be confused about the concept of "objective questions," as he professes that he will not ask anything of an objective nature on exams but then hands out tests that require the student to identify the author of specific quotations.

The class is intellectually stimulating but the workload is ridiculous. Be prepared to spend most of your time on preparing for this class. Fruchtman is arrogant and likes to act like his students are stupid.

Dr. Fruchtman is AMAZING! I really feel like I will be taking somthing away from his class. If his other course was at a reasonable time in the Spring semester, I would definitely take that with him. Study the cases, do the outlines and participate and you will really get your money's worth with him.

He is my FAVORITE professor at Towson! He is helpful and although the class is difficult, he will clarify anything and it is possible to get an A if you work hard for it. If you plan to go to law school he will be a great resource and someone you can always go to for help.
