Comment:

Without a doubt the best class I have ever taken. Dr. Leopold has an incredible knowledge of the history of NYC. We went on 3 tours of the city with him, and he had a story to tell about every street we walked down. Truly a class I'll never forget. Sadly, this was the last NYC history class he'll be teaching. Thanks for the memories Jack!

This guy was a riot! His lectures were a little disorganized, and he tells some crazy stories, but you can easily pick up on what he feels is important. He definitely knows his stuff. 3 tests and 3 papers, which I felt he graded very fairly. Most of the people who didn't leave during the break did well in this class.

AWFUL one of the worst professors i have had at college level. unprepared for class, he talked in run arounds and his grading was unclear and biased. in general would not recommend this class i did learn a lot but only because i read the material and cheated on tests

He loves to teach and it shows. He is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. It will be a sad day at WestConn when he really does retire. I have really learned something in this class, which is more than some I have taken at WCSU. This guys knows history.

I loved Dr. Leopold. His class was very interesting, and he was so nice in general. Very good at explaining the material and even brought us to a local chruch so a priest could give a lecture on dogmatic things and answer questions. He has my highest recommendation.

One of the most interesting professors in the school, the man knows everything. Tells the students all the places they need to visit. Follow his sheets that he hands out at the beginning of every class, this will help you get an A. The classes are not easty, but leave knowing the subject.

The NYC class is worth it. I took it many years ago, have long since graduated, and still tell stories about that class. A lot of reading, but the trips are great...dont miss it. I am considering taking the class on the graduate level just to brush up on my history.
