She is a very nice person but hard to understand if you are not familiar with the subjects because she can be hard to follow along with. Take lots of notes and definitely read the pages she assigns in the textbook bc there are quizzes every week which help your grade a lot but the tests can be difficult!

Dr. Stanke is actually is actually a pretty sweet woman and she's pretty understanding. Just be prepared for her interesting personality. She lets you know everything you need to study for tests and quizzes and genuinely cares if your grade improves. Just pay attention and read the textbook and you're set.

She does not offer good notes and expects you to know everything that happens in history. She tells you to read the chapter but, in class, all she talks about is sidebars & things that do not matter. Her tests are entirely too hard. Has no regard for the fact that her class is a PREREQUISITE!! Avoid at all costs unless you like history.

Dr. Stanke strives to give exceptional feedback on every assignment turned in. When you are writing something and don't know how to say it, you can write it all down and somehow she is able to understand what you were trying to say, but didn't have the words for. If you are looking to better yourself and excel at upper level courses take her.

I am not a big fan of history anyways, but this class was really hard for me. I struggled to pass her class. If you can get past her saying "so" every 5 seconds then you may enjoy it. She is really considerate of your efforts however. She wants you to pass, and that is the only reason that I did.

She really cares about her students and is always willing to help if you ask. Tests are difficult, take the reading and quizzes seriously. If you struggle in her class you can ask to meet with her and she will give you tips on how to better succeed. She also drops a few of your lowest quiz scores.

Stanke is a great professor. She is willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself. She gives plenty of quizzes; which will help you on the tests. However, don't expect to get a good grade simply based on listening to the lecture. You NEED to read the textbook too. If you work hard, you'll get a good grade, plain and simple.

She is a great professor. She engages with her students more in the front because they are right there and easier to talk to distance wise. I would recommend staying off your phone she does not like that. If you sit in the front and are attentive she will give you a better participation grade! Her exams can be challenging read the book and notes!

Professor Stanke is a wonderful professor. She gives lectures that adequately and accurately describe the course material, and gives fair exams based on the outlined criteria she gives. I would definitely take her class again. Amazing professor, somewhat long lectures, but very informative and interesting class.

Dr. Stanke was my favorite professor this semester. Some complain that she is hard, but as long as you study a little bit its an easy class. Does get a little boring but that is just the class not her. Great professor!!!
