Comment:

Her teaching style leaves much to be desired and you can probably miss the first two lectures as she discusses fire procedure and class etiquette. She has occasional mood swings which is off-putting particularly if you're having trouble with the material, but she can also be very nice and helpful. Not the best, not the worst.

The course is fairly easy the only real problem is the professor. She knows what she's talking about but can't articulate to help you understand. She's an easy marker but the problem is know what she is grading (criteria is constantly revised, annoying) Plus there are guest lectures on COMPLETELY unrelated subjects which end up on the tests (lame)

Not as bad as these ratings make her sound. I recommend going to class or else you will be lost. The assignments were annoying. The tests were okay, allowed a "cheat sheet" except for the final. Group presentation (6 people-20%) is frustrating. Labs are boring but go because there is a lab part on the final worth(15%). Nice woman I'd take her again

Very uptight, can be very rude (especially to IT guy), textbook is awful, nit-picks, pay attention to detail on assignments and you'll be ok. Try not to take this class at night...it made us all insane.

IN ESSENCE, she knows her stuff, but don't try and ask her a question out of class, cause she is a real snot! really rips on certain ppl during oral presentations. avoid her if possible.

Knows her material very well just has issues expressing herself. She can be strict and chew you out if you're being an idiot or rude. She will help if you're making an honest effort. Her marking is extremely rigid and tests will have little tricks to screw you over. The textbook is absolutely awful, you may need secondary sources to help you out.

She is arrogant and unapproachable. Geog 260 covers easy concepts that she overcomplicates extremely. If I didn't know most Profs are much better than her, I would probably drop out.

Professor Anderson clearly takes a lot of pride in her field and it teaching the material. Her style is cutting edge with challenging but fair course work and exams. She obviously cares tremendously about the success of her students and presents the material with hands on activities to reinforce the material. I enjoyed her very much w/ no complaint

Avoid her if you don't want work. Sometimes students have a hard time to understand her and she gets mad if you ask stupid questions. However, I had a very good mark in individual work, but her exams are tough. Better attend all classes or you'll be screwed.

If you are kind and polite, she is a good person. If not, she will chew you out time after time. But I have to admit, she took me under her wing this semester during the hardest times and was open to listen and help. She is the reason why I stayed in school this semster.

Comment:

Dr Anderson is a stressball. She can never get the IT equipment to work before class. But otherwise, she's pretty easy. Nobody failed last semester. The material isn't really hard. It's just that it's not so interesting. I liked her though, did well, but can't say I learned a lot.
