She lectures at a fast pace and refuses to slow down. She requires you to get a text book but she often disagrees with the author. Here lesson plan is all in her head; as a result she often backtracks to cover something she missed--difficult to take notes because of this compounded with the fact that she lectures at lightning speed.

she is amazing, anyone who complains is simply lazy. obviously you have to put in the work, she is a very good teacher as far as helping you understand the topic. probably one of the best teachers in the school.

taking her now and I love her so much. I have no idea why students complain, she puts in so much effort . she explains things in such great detail, that i can understand much better than any other resource available to me. and personally, that is most important aspect for me in a mentor. i wish i could take her for every CISC class.

I would say, "avoid this professor, take someone else", however, she will most likely be the only one available for OS. Beware of pop quizzes because there are a lot, pay attention in lecture, and good luck.

Many pop quizzes are given throughout the semester with many open-ended questions. There are a midterm and final as well as a group project for simulating an OS. Her grading is far too draconian considering her poor structuring of questions. Don't read the textbook either, waste of time, use her words from the lectures.

She's tough, all the code happens on chalk board, there is no way you'll get through her class without having at least one redo on one of your 8 assignments. She's older but still energetic ;). Wouldn't recommend buying the textbook it's almost never needed and never used in class.

Listen to me and listen well... i am a straight A student and ive never felt the need to review a professor until now. She is the dictionary definition of a perfectionist and always tries to find mistakes in students' work. Furthermore, when she makes mistakes herself, she cannot admit fault, and expects YOU, the student, to be responsible for it.

She's a great professor. She expects perfection on assignments, but she really does hand feed you everything and gives them ahead enough of time that you have plenty of chances to talk to her or e-mail her for help, and she's very helpful if you do.

She can teach but has no people skills. Long assignments worth 25% of your grade. They're also hard. She will answer your emails, but she is incredibly rude in her responses and lacks patience. She once refused to help me because I wasn't understanding what she meant and made me fight thru a project with no help. Ive never had a ruder professor.

She gives very good analogies for the different concepts such that anyone can understand. However, she is a tough grader. Sometimes she expects you to answer beyond the exam question. For example, question ask for the "what", you also have to the specify the how, when, etc. It is hard to guess what kind of answer she wants from the question.

Extremely easy course turned into a living nightmare. I got a fairly decent grade but the subject itself shouldn't have been hard and Studied quite a bit to get the decent grade on what was supposedly a VERY easy course.

She's a good but strict prof. You'll have to work for ur grade. We had a quiz every week until the midterm. The tests and the quizzes were fair (from the notes). Her lectures are clear also. However, she expects u to write on the exams what she said in class or something very close to it. The group project can be challenging. All in all, she's good

My favorite class so far. She literally wrote the textbook. Hand feeds you everything. Will repeat anything till you understand. Just show up for class and take notes. She asks for perfection, but mostly cause she already handed it to you.

She explains material decently, but is the single toughest grader I have ever had. She tells you to study from textbook, but disagrees with several of its definitions and will mark you wrong for answering like it. Even if you understand the concept, if you don't phrase it just so you get massive point deductions. Take her for basic courses, not OS.
