Comment:

Dr. Applefield is a nice enough man, however, he is the epitome of the professor who thinks his class is the only one you're enrolled in. The content wasn't too hard, but I did most of the learning from the textbook. Doesn't give adequate time to complete papers or projects and his lectures are the most boring I've ever had. Doable, not enjoyable.

The textbook is easy to read. He emphasizes real world application, always thinking about applying what we are learning to becoming better teachers. His lectures are long and dry, but he makes good points. The tests are not that hard if you read the material and studied. The only grades are a midterm, exam, essays and a group project.

Class was not hard but his grading is DEF out of this world. He expects TOO much and honestly I would look for another professor for EDN 203 because I came out with a D and I passed every assignment and went to every class.

Worst teacher I have ever had. He didn't follow the syllabus at all. He forgot to assing the papers so we had to do about 7 papers the last month of class. So boring and clueless. Pauses so long between sentences that you forget what he was talkling about... so does he.

Tests are easy, but the class is extremely boring. Just monotone lecture that leaves you, sometimes, wanting to commit suicide. Overall, he means well but if I had the chance to re-do it again, I'd look for a different teacher.

Lots of people say bad things, and i didn't especially enjoy the class, but...I did show up hungover as hell and late for a test once, he told me to come back the next day to his office to take it. So he'll work with you, but still a hard class. I got a C, and with my grades and attendance, i prob didn't even deserve that.

Overall he's a good guy and will go out of his way to help you as long as you're trying. Course material is very dry though and lectures can be boring (especially at 9 am). Just go to class, study hard for tests, and let him see that you're trying and you'll be fine.

Think the emperor of Star Wars but less threatening and no lightning from the fingers. Very soft spoken, robotic, boring, and I've clocked him at having 45 second pauses in between words. Horrid tests and if he doesn't like you, he lets you know it.

This guy is so dry and so boring, you would rather be anywhere else! He rambles on and on about nothing, then pauses for long periods of time, which makes the class feel SO LONG! All you have to do it read the book and you should do fine, but if you want an interesting class, don't take this guy!

His class was sooo boring! His voice is so monotone and everyone was about to fall asleep in his class. He is not a good teacher at all and almost the whole class did horrible on our second test and we asked for extra credit and he would not give it to us! DO NOT take his class!

I received a "D" in this class needed a "C" to enter School of Watson. I will be better qualified to rate this professor once I retake the course under another professor. However, I will say this he is so educated until he is not effective.
