Armstrong was awesome. I took his honors course "Conflict in the Middle East". He's extremely passionate about the subject and knows that it's confusing if you've never studied it. He gave about 5 homeworks and 3 papers, but you got to pick your topics and only had to write two of them. No final, no tests, easy grader. Really funny but show respect

He was a good professor to have a group discussion because he facilitated the conversation, but did not take it over. Only had to do 10 out of the 12 essays which only had to be about a page. Grades were good to fair for the essays. Sometimes that class could get a little boring.

Dr. Armstrong raises the bar when it comes to what it means to be a Professor at SUNY Plattsburgh. As someone that has taken numerous classes with him, I can say that his classes are always good and that you will never be bored at a class. The material he picks to teach is really interesting and if you do your work you will get a grade you deserve.

This class was really easy and pretty fun. I went to every class not because I had to, but because I genuinely enjoyed hearing what he had to say. Hes super funny and a pretty interesting guy.

Attendance does not matter, I bought the textbook but never used it and he never referred to it, lectures the entire class period, talks about random things everyday, watch films every now and then, just have to write a quick reaction to the film, had one quiz and the final, may seem pointless and a waste of time but easy easy easy A!

Easy Pass but Super super boring, its hard to stay engaged in his class i am literally asleep half of the time but good thing is he doesn't care... Not much work in this class but the midterm was a bit confusing and a tough grade. If you want an easy grade but be bored out of your mind then take this class.

He's pretty boring, but the material is easy to understand. The class is a ton of note taking. He provides study guides. It's super easy to make an A if you show up to class and take the notes. Hippie souls will get a lot of neat information from this course.

In Israeli Film, we would watch a film every week then discuss it the next class. All we had to do between then is write a synopsis of the film to show we understood what was happening. There were 2-3 other essays (3 pages max). I was constantly told I did too much work, when in reality I did all the papers 3 hours before they were due. He's great!

Took this for Israeli Film. Pretty easy, easy weekly papers and a few heavily graded ones. Just do the work and you'll pass no problem.

Needs to keep some of his personal opinions out of his teaching, though he learned quickly telling people they can't say Godbless you when somone sneses...makes people say it more, odd at times and will keep talking even when his is wrong

Cool, attractive man OUTSIDE the classroom. Be warned, if you aren't a self-starter, his classes are NOT for you. He is a great, funny guy but he goes on tangents every class and you learn very little of the subject matter. You can turn assignments in late, you don't have to show up, and he doesn't really notice or care. Don't expect to learn much.

Don't buy the textbook, you'll never use it. Funny, cynical, FOX! Don't take any of his classes if you're a conservative....he's very liberal and not afraid to destroy you in an argument (which he will, btw). Pretty easy to do well.

I took Sexuality & Culture with him. An interesting topic but I feel like I didn't learn as much as I wanted. He's laidback, cynical... A good teacher in general and generally likable, but sometimes we went off on tangents.

Very interesting professor. Def has his favorites and if you are one of them it is an easy A. If you speak up he will respect you. A little bit unclear on assignments though. He is charming though.
