This man is a fantastic teacher. He is so passionate about the subject that you will be ecstatic that you chosen to take his class! I haven't yet finished this class, but I think it is important to give credit where it is due, and it is certainly due! Bravo, he's not easy but his classes are definitely worth taking. His class was very interesting. There was never a dull moment. He offers several extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. His tests are kind of hard even if you study so make sure you study really hard. He only had 2 in class tests. everything else was take home assignments.

Dr. Awbrey is amazing! His interest in the subject and the class is incredible. I love his ability to explain things extremely well and apply lessons to real world senarios and situations. He is one of the best teachers I have EVER had. I really enjoyed his Social Problems class. GO BLUE STEEL!!!

Awbrey is BY FAR the best teacher at Gainesville. He has a true passion for sociology and he will make you fall in love with the subject. He treats you like you are one of his peers and is very encouraging and kind to his students. I have heard other students describe his class as "addicting". He is also a great guitar player.

MR. Awbrey makes it sound like the class is going to be hard.. and it is if you have to take in class test. so to avoid that the ENTIRE class needs to show him that they have read the chapters. so DO read the chapters or you'll regret it. IN EXCHANGE YOU WILL HAVE TAKE HOME TESTS (which are my favorite). THE FINAL PRESENTATION is fun

AT FIRST I THOUGHT THIS CLASS WAS GOING TO BE EXTREMELY HARD & THAT THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD MAKE AN A. I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH I LEARNED IN THIS CLASS! HE IS SO HELPFUL AND REALLY TEACHES YOU INTERESTING THINGS! THE TESTS ARE DIFFICULT, BUT HE HELPS A LOT AND WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM! IT WILL BE A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

This teacher i thought was a good one at the beginning. I attended all his classes and studied for everything. He put me under the impression i would have a B in the class by the end of the semester. I made decent grades on tests. only got one bad test grade. i ended up with a D! what the heck! thats lame!

I LOVE THIS MAN!! He was the sweetest most understanding professor ever!! He is not "easy" but you will learn a lot and come on isn't that what we are in school for! He is fair and reasonable. What more could you ask for?? By the way make sure you read your chapters and follow along with the powerpoint and you will make an "A"!!

Very good teacher! Gives great examples to explain what he wants you to understand. I think his tests are well rounded. He does not try to trick people. He wants people to understand the material. He is not 'esay', which is good, and will help you any way he can. He is fair!
