Your unorthodox, whimsical, stand-out teacher. His lectures are engaging and interesting thanks to his informal sense of humor. If you pay attention and take notes, you'll pass the 2 exams based exactly on topics from notes. I enjoyed his class and would like to take him again if I could.

Professor Bising does not use any supplemental tools in his lectures; he just sits and talks. If you take detailed notes and memorize them all, you can just regurgitate the information onto the bluebook and get an A. He makes extremely inappropriate jokes/ comments at the wrong time. But if you can get past all that, its easy.

Professor Bising is by far one of the best teachers I've had. Amazing ability to make the student want to learn with his teaching style. I got an easy A and had fun while doing it, seriously guys, take this class.

Notes are a must in this class! He does not write them down so pay attention and write down the main dates and significances on that date. He does pick on you randomly so be prepared! Though if you don't know the answer, not a huge deal. He will get off topic and may seem strange at times but his lectures are easy to understand. Overall, okay prof.

Dr. Bising is a great professor. He only lectures, so you must take notes to pass the two exams (mid term + final but they are only short easy essays). If you skip, you will miss the notes! Only 2 homework assignments whole semester and if you do both, you will get a "+" next your letter grade on the 2 exams. Don't do them, and you get a "-".

Great teacher with very informal lectures. Show up and take good notes and you will pass the class. The only down fall of this professor is that sometimes during class he'll call on you at random which sometimes gets me nervous, otherwise great professor. p.s Professor is funny every day

Prof. Bising is pretty old, but a very smart man. He engages students in his lectures in telling how history occurred at the exact moment, even though he can sometimes go off topic and seem strange at times. This course is not too difficulty to get an A in as long as you take good notes. These notes are vital for the two exams to pass the course.

Professor Bising is a really funny guy. His lectures are interesting but there are a lot of unnecessary facts. He jokes a lot and talks about history as if he was there. His lectures and exams are pretty easy. You just have a midterm and final. During the semester you have to write 4 papers so you don't get a "-" next to your final grade.

All I know is I've attended classes at 4 different colleges and this class is one I definitely remember! He makes history really interesting and tells you how it actually was during the day. No boring history class here. He's a funny guy that tells stories in a way that you'll definitely understand.

I don't understand what people are whining about. He's a funny old guy, his lectures are interesting enough to keep you attentive the entire class, and if you take notes you should get an A (Unless you're a lousy notetaker,in which case, as Prof Bising would advise you, go run out on route 10). I hate history classes, and this class was painless.

One of my favorite teachers. People complaining here are basically lazy tools who don't want to actually work for a passing grade, and who probably got their feelings hurt because Bising had their number. Lectures were always really interesting, often opening up parts of history that most books didn't cover.

His class lectures consisted of him talking mostly about things you were never going to read in the book. Much of the homework that was given was all reading. The reading was heavy and at times not easy to follow as there were many names, dates, and events to know. What bothered me most was that we never went over the reading in class.

probably one of the worst teachers. he eats during class, goes off on tangents that make no sense, rambles on and on and he picks on everyone. he uses the same jokes over and over and you REALLY have to pay attention. if you miss a class and have no friends to help you catch up you're screwed. and there's only 2 grades, midterm and final.

Awful! Midterm and final (50 multiple choice) no reviews. Checks out every girl when they leave the class. Studied really hard just to get a C. Tenured and out to lunch.

This was by far my least favorite class this semester. Sitting through class is such a waste of time do to his inability to stay on topic. He reuses the same jokes at least 10 times a class. The only grades are the mid term and final so there is no way to tell how you are doing in class. I liked history before this class.

Awesome guy, not a great teacher. Lectures and textbook readings are 100% different and confused myself as well as fellow classmates. Tests are on the texbook readings (with no review) 50 MC questions with essay on lecture He can say some pretty weird stuff at times too which bothered me. I'd rather hang out with him than have a class with him

Super funny and interesting to listen to. Notes taken in class are the topics of the essay and there are 50 MC based on textbook readings. Make sure to read and pay attention in class and you will be fine. Super nice guy and comes in late every class. Get out about ten minutes early too.

Interesting and funny professor, I can agree with that. But helpful isn't one of them. NO reviews. Like everyone says, there's only a midterm and a final. 50 multiple choice on the reading and the rest (essay) is all on the notes, so make sure you attend all his classes. Haven't taken the test yet but I'm definitely not looking forward to it.

Professor Bising was the funniest teacher I ever had. His class is not hard, but you must take a lot of notes during class and read a lot outside of class, if you want to do well. I didn't like that he only gave 2 test during the semester each worth 50% of your grade.

*DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS* Prof. Bising is the worst of all professors at this school! Make sure to drop his class! He just talks about WWI & WWII and then your notes look like you're writing a book and then you have to read 3 chapters in the history book for a 50 multiple choise test and the writing part is on all your notes! I got a D...good luck
