Dr. Blum is probably my favorite teacher on campus! Coding is difficult but he goes through it very slow and makes sure everyone understands.

Dr. Blum is a great guy and passionate teacher. However, I found STT 305 incredibly difficult because I had absolutely 0 coding experience prior to this class. Would recommend prior coding experience. SAS language was very foreign. Go to his website the semester before signing up, he has HW solutions on there for the current class.

I found sas a bit disconnected. We would have homework and the way to write the code was not discussed in class and you would have to spend a lot of time researching how to do it. He's polite and willing to help. Also on every test and final you could use a cheat sheet and the internet.

Statistical Programming is an incredibly easy class, and as a result it can be quite dull and boring. If you have any knowledge of programming at all, this class is going to be a breeze for you. Just make sure to study for the tests and give detailed answers. The tests are all paper & pencil.

Dr. Blum is very nice and good at explaining things, though class does seem to drag on from time to time. SAS is an extremely beneficial skill and I would recommend the course for that reason alone. Tests are very fair. Homework can be tough at times but he is always willing to help.

Great teacher! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Seems to enjoy teaching. Homework is fun (if you enjoy programming), tests are easy as long as you do the homework, and his in class examples are very thorough. Taking him for another class next semester.

he's a really nice guy and very approachable. Statistics got hard at the end, but he's very willing to help. He gives a million examples in class everyday. I don't think I would have done as well in stats if I had not had him

Dr. Blum is the coolest teacher I had this semester. He couldn't make it any more clear if he tried, and gives so many examples. If you go to class there's no reason you shouldn't do well...wish I hadn't bought the book though...
