If you need a writing workshop class, his is by far the easiest. Students complain he's boring and they are right. He can go on about one thing for twenty minutes or longer. Despite that, do all the work that's required and you should do very well. Like he said, "at worst you'd get a B."

I had Professor Bobrick for Medieval Lit and I must say that even though I was not interested in the course AT ALL and was just trying to get literature credits to graduate, I am very glad I was able to take a course with him. He is a great professor--unbelievably intelligent and genuinely passionate about the material. Take his class!

You must have a HIGH interest in the material to enjoy class. I did not like Bobrick at all. He's boring and name drops all the time which comes off snooty. He WILL call on you in class. I suggest researching the poems beforehand, because you'll get a better grade if he agrees with your analysis. Not a hard class if you go about it right.

I took Professor Bobrick for Fantasy Lit and I am a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan. I loved the material for that reason (well, most of it) but every single class consisted of plot summary. It got very boring after a while, but it was definitely an easy A. Grade consisted of 1 paper, a midterm, and a final.

I took 20th Century American Poerty with Prof. Bobrick. Easy class, discussions are kinda boring if you aren't into poetry. He tries to involve the whole class so don't take it if you hate reading in front of a class or can't think on your feet! You have to memorize a short poem and midterm and finals are easy if you go to class. Take him!

Modern British poetry is easy. No homework, very easy to work with. Classes can be boring if not participating. He is very smart on the subject matter, but can be incomprehensible at times. He is a spitting image of Mr. Magoo, the cartoon, and closes his eyes when talks to you, even at close range. Nice man though.

I don't think there were a lot of opportunities to bring up your grade. There were 2 papers(which didn't count for much),a test, a midterm and a final. Midterm/final were kinda hard because you had to know like 150 poems and only 10 would be on the test. I don't think he explained the poems well enough in class. Stay awake b/c he'll call on you!

Bobrick is a sweetheart! He says to his students on the first day that he would be happy to give everyone an A. And he holds true to that! There is no way you can do bad in his class unless your goal is to fail. He gives a lot of opportunities to bring up your grade. The only bad thing is that the textbook is EXPENSIVE.

The man is a walking, talking wealth of literature. He can effortlessly recite numerous poems/quotes off the top of his head. Bobrick made me appreciate poetry. Read the assignments, participate in class, and you're guaranteed a good grade. One of my favorite ENL professors

I think overall a nice class; I wouldn't have taken it if it wasn't required, though. I believe attendance counts, but if you read the books assigned and show up when there's a test, I bet you'll do okay.

He's really into the material and very interested in helping students out with their personal literary aspirations. It is an easy class, basically show up and read and you can pass. But still left me satisfied. If you are one of those people that's bored in classes like this, just watch his facial expressions for entertainment! :P

Bobrick is a very nice guy especially if you want to look to other works of literature. He offers readings to his classes to support the subject matter and will be interesting once you look past the stuttering, comb-over and messy handwriting. Generally I would love another class with him.

Boo, his classes are sparknotes, you learn nothing beyond the books. Um, yeaaahhhh's it all the time, you can barely carry on with his discussion because of his annoying banter. He's also so easy you want to run out screaming. Students take advantage of this by asking for quizzes to be postponed and he just nods and agrees. We watched movies...Boo!

Bobrick is so nice! His classes tend to be easy but he has such a good heart. There is a lot of reading assigned, but you can get away with reading about half of it and getting an A. He knows a lot of poetry. I suggest taking him. He's awesome.

He's really nice and is very smart but my god his class is BORING! Doesn't help that the subject matter is boring too (in my opinion) Yes, he does stutter a bit but I didn't find it too distracting. Go to class, take notes, and you'll pass. One paper (easy), mid-term, & final. Easy, easy, easy.

He's too easy, stutters and shows a whole lot of movies. Aka he's unprofessional with little lecture time. You could learn more if you read a book on Shakespear.
