explains everything well, but doesn't tell you what's on the tests, so you are left with 100+ names to know without knowing which ones you absolutely need to know. no daily grades, so said tests are all that determine your grade. tests consist of multiple choice (25%) source reading identification (25%) and essay (50%). dont take his class!

history from beginning to 1373..He is AWFUL. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. I am a straight A student and take dilligent notes and he FAILED me on most of my tests. I was actually interested in this course and he completely RUINED IT. He doesnt care. take ANY other course offered besides his.

very poor teacher, he just rambles and you are expected to decipher what is important and what he thinks is interesting. 3 all essay tests. 5 pts off your grade everytime your absent. would not take this class ever again. very disorganized, could work a powerpoint if his life depended on it.

THIS CLASS IS IMPOSSIBLE. Do not miss class, or you will be 3 centuries behind! I have a stack of about 160 pgs of notes taken for his class. Tests are all essay, at least 300 notecards w/paragraphs on back of each for just one test. I study 4 hrs a week just to keep up. Take any HIST but his. Your social life will be over if you take him!

He is a really cool guy. First part of the semester is boring but the rest is interesting. The final is not comprehensive so it's cake. He gives you the exact layout of the test, if you study for it it's not bad. I have an 86 in the class and I don't listen to his lectures.

Ok, lets put it this way, i transferred schools because of him! He was unsupportive, used outdated material, and told me not to go to grad school to study my interest because as he said "oh that's too hard, and there's no jobs in that!" The whole time i felt like i could have taught the class better! If u want correct info, he's not ur man!

Nice guy and knows what he's talking about but is disorganized and you aren't really given any direction as to what to study for the tests, which are essay tests. Class can be boring at times.

If at all possible, avoid Chambers' Honors section of World History. He manages to make a very interesting subject and period of world history dull. He is guaranteed to disabuse you of any passion you have for the subject of history. Worst of all - he killed my 4.0! Take his course at your peril!

The hardest class i have taken. He'll say a date out loud then write a different date on the board, and if you ask which one is right he just mumbles. His teachings contradict themselves. Test are not over the important concepts but the tiny insignificant facts and dates, this makes it hard to study. Jr hist majors have trouble in this Fr. class.

The hardest class I've ever taken. As a non-history major, I was expecting this to be difficult. It was more difficult than I expected. Essay tests that he grades graciously but always finds flaws in answers. He listens to some student concerns, but all-in-all student suggestions end up making the course more difficult. A lot of reading!!!

Don't listen to the previous reviews. My class average was very high and most of us got A's all the time. He is NOT boring. He is funny, but you need to have solid concentration for an 1.5 hours and take notes. Easy A. You don't need a brain for this class, everything on exams is lectured, just read the notes and spit it out on the exam. Great prof

Horrrible! So much for a "seminar", more like boring lecturing about nothing at all for 2.5 hours. took a test on 9/13..... it's 11/28 and i still haven't gotten it back. He "lost" it. And that's the class in a nutshell.

I agree with the ohter in the class...he is late getting back grade and only gives 2 tests! Your whole grade is a mystery until you get your transcripts! I was really looking forward to the class and learned alot, but grading was insane!

he sucks stay away. only two test, and he never gets papers back to you on time. seems like he could care less about the class, he was allways late to class. he is so boring it was hard to pay attention to him, esp. with his little "tick" he has.
