An amazing professor who does go as in depth as he needs to. His quizzes are every 3 weeks and are on the terms he goes over in class. His homework is on the material within the textbook (which he gives for free!). If youre still struggling somehow, use Quizlet. Very engaging all in all, and loves an interactive class.

Best history class I've ever had! He makes class as interesting as possible and tries his best to keep it engaging. The quizzes are random but after the first two you can time them. The final is two essays, a minimum of 3 pages each (in class). It may sound daunting but you can study the two days before the final and you'll be fine.

Real funny guy with a love for history, and eager to share. Tells many personal stories, gets the class involved and wants everyone to pass. Weekly online quizzes are easy and his pop quizzes are also super easy as long as you write down all the keywords and individuals that he had on his slides or that he specifically mentions.

One of my favorite classes I've had at UCF. His lectures were interesting, I could sit through all 3 hours of it and stay focused the entire time. His final was easy, you just have to write a lot and keep adding details and you'll get an A. He has pop quizzes but the answers are the terms he uses in his PowerPoints. I loved this class.

He's an amazing professor! His lectures are so entertaining and I even find myself looking up things he talked about in class because they're so interesting. Even if you are uninterested in history he will find a way to make you interested. Easy A.

He is a good teacher, makes the subject interesting (even though I never liked history) and class passes by quickly. The only challenge is his pop quizzes because they are worth so much, but if you study the vocabulary then the class should really be an A.

Pro. Clark is an amazing lecturer! I loved going to his class because of how great they were. Had to read free online textbook each week for homework- 10 questions (due Friday's) and had 5 15 question pop quizzes related to the topics (get Quizlet!). The final exam was written, 2/4 questions to pick from with 3 page min. for each question.

Textbook work is only for online homework and lectures are only for pop-quizzes. Don't really need to read the textbook, just do the simple 10-question homework and study vocabulary words from powerpoint lectures. Not hard and a class you shouldn't really need to worry about.

I would totally take Professor Clark again. His lectures are interesting but long. Go to class for the 5 pop quizzes, so easy if you look at all the terms right before. He gives you a link to download a pdf of the book so don't buy it. For the essay final I chose to study the topic he gave us and wars in general and I got a 100. Take him.

James Clark is a very passionate teacher when it comes to American History. He would fill in with his own personal stories and give various tales about certain topics which are amazingly interesting. It is probably not best for those who don't like history, But for those who do, James Clark is a very good choice. Just be ready for pop quizzes.

Love this professor. He makes history as entertaining as possible, and his class is fairly easy. All you have to do is show up to lecture, write down the points on the board and read the textbook and yo should definitely get an A. Quizzes are super easy, and the final isn't bad at all, its a 6 page essay but gives you one of the topics prior.

Prof. Clark teaches really well, more of a talking style of notes than looking at powerpoints which is more entertaining. Pop quizes are easy if you make flashcards and go over the material every once in a while. Homework is easy and answers are usually online. Overall a great and funny prof.

Hilarious professor! Incredibly knowledgeable about history and makes it extremely interesting! Some pop quizzes, but they are easy as long as you take notes and go to class. Also he normally gives a heads up "hint" if there will be one within the next 2 classes.

I took Mr. Clark for my very first online college course, and I have no complaints aside from some confusing or incorrect answers to questions on assignments. However, if you email Mr. Clark about it, he will take a look at it for you and almost always raise your grade! I would say he is a super nice guy and really understanding.

He gave us terms that we needed to know for the pop-quizzes. He drops 1 out of 5. His HW was from the textbook and you have 2 hrs for each one, but it never took me more than 20 minutes. His final has 4 questions and you only have to answer two. He tells you what one is going to be but you can literally BS the other one and still get 80+. Easy A!

There are total of 5 quizzes worth 40% of your grade, drops lowest quiz. Chapter homework online quizzes worth 45% due every week. There is a written final that accounts for 15% of the grade. He gives pop quizzes in class and they're based off the terms he goes over in lectures. His pop quizzes are on quizlet too (only some though)! Good luck :)
