Comment:

Nice guy and has good course notes but lectures aren't that informative. Moves through material pretty slowly (I dislike this because it makes it hard to stay focused in class but some people like this). Talks quickly but doesn't say much. It's easy to do well in this course. Overall I liked the course, but it was very introductory.

Archy is a good man. The course was very interesting which is good cause we'd be in the wrong department if it wasn't. def has a case of short man syndrome but****r' bud, he's a nice guy who always answers questions. He hates coal mining and isn't afraid to let you know. 10,000 coal miners die a year in china. Enemies = John Peacy

He is really easy to talk to and always seemed to make time for me whenever I needed some extra help. Some lectures weren't easy to follow through, but the 1-on-1 help was there if needed. He also makes a great undergrad chair.

Highly creative and in-depth examination of all aspects of rock mechanics at the beginner level. I've learned a tremendous amount of practical and theoretical knowledge from this course, and the professor is awesome.

He is a very ineffective teacher, He's been doing this for so long, he just speaks rapidly from memory. allways assumes we know things, never goes through an examples indepth. His jokes are stupid and childish. The sad part is he is a nice guy and easy to talk to, but just a bad teacher
