Dr. Gallagher is a great teacher. He is somewhat strict when it comes to writing essays but it does help you become a better writer, even if that is not what the class disciplines. He eases the anxiety that comes with any kind of public speaking.

This was my first online class. Jim was very quick to respond to email and was very clear in his explanations when I had questions. We did meet once for presentations. Jim made us all feel very comfortable. Online required alot of discussion posting. I felt like he was generous in his grading.

I hate public speaking, but Jim was an okay teacher. His way of talking bothered me, but I got over it. Tests were easy, but he grades HIGH on participation. If you don't volunteer or say something, your grade gets lower and lower.. ugh.

I dont honestly know why some people rate this teacher high. I was surprised I even got an A in his class. I guess he was an OK teacher, he made the material easy to understand and made it fun. But the essays in such were hard, I got low scores on them like low B's, I guess I just suck at writing. At least he gives study guides.
