Professor Gifford is a great Professor. He cares a lot about his students. I took his class in my first year and now I am in fourth year and I still talk to him. He has always been helpful. I wish more profs would follow his example.

Great prof;is passionate about his work and has good understanding. Manages to make a three hour night class fly by. He marks fairly as long as you use proper grammar, and his online resources are very useful, all and all a great prof.

James is a good teacher but don't take his class unless you are willing to spend HOURS reading. He does not seem to realize that you have other classes to worry about. Other than that, he is helpful and gives amazing insight into the literature and is very willing to help. A good prof.

He made us read the book that he is doing his doctoral thesis on for a first year course. He does not talk at all about the plot of the stories we study, instead he talks about background about the author. Although this may be valuable, it doesn't help me to understand the literature we read

James is a fantastic teacher. He is very helpful and accomodating when possible. I would strongly recommend taking one of his classes. He is not your stereotypical English teacher, and is even pretty funny sometimes!
