I actually enjoyed this class. He definitely is not a lecturer by any means, but he puts up tutorials on how to draw the project for the day and he's definitely always ready to help if YOU go to HIM. Very chill class, and he's a pretty cool guy. As long as you put in the effort, you'll do we'll.

He literally never takes attendance and doesn't care if you don't show up. You could skip three classes and he wouldn't notice. Doesn't show you how to do ANYTHING, just puts up paintings that he made and then sits on the computer for the rest of the class. You can leave two hours early, he honestly doesn't care. Super easy A.

Basically agreeing with everyone else here. Pretty useless as a professor, nice enough guy. But when I pay to attend a class I'm not looking for "nice." Didnt learn a thing from this class, relied on talking to other professors for real instruction. Treat it as open studio, it doesn't really matter what you paint. You'll get an A or a B.

YOU MUST ATTEND CLASS! although when you do, you dont learn alot. he usuually puts something up, explains a bit then your on your own. its a very laidback enviornment though. you dont learn much, but if your pretty good at art, or at least show that you have tried, youll get a good grade. also, LONG CLASS!

nice guy, boring classes. took him for drawing 1 and didnt learn much on techniques, just prospective. i made the mistake of going all out to get an A on my first drawing(to show off) then he expected so much of me after and only gave me B's. he can grade easily on some, harder on others. if you need help he always will though.

Gwynne is a super nice guy, but a bit of a quack. Good artist, bad teacher. If you put some creativity into your homework assignments he appreciates that and your grades will be fine, but if you really want someone who will show you HOW and WHY and what to do with all the pricey supplies you just bought, try someone else. Approach him for help.

I learned a lot in this class-true all he did was hang something up or put item(s) on display & gave very brief instructions-but if you asked for help he was more than willing & walked you through step-by-step. Usually 3 drawings in class & 1 hmwk. He is extemely nice, laid back & takes into consideration the different levels of artistic ability.
