Birdseye is so sweet! Don't buy the book, you wont need it. I hate history and this was the easiest class ever. The lectures can be boring but there are no tests, two extremely easy quizzes, color 2 maps, and do a one page paper. there are so many opportunities for extra credit. you would have to try to not get an A. Highly recommend!

Great teacher if you need an extremely easy class to fill up your schedule. Birdseye is really laid-back and jokes a lot, but several times during the semester he just didn't show up for class and didn't give anyone notification. But I guess not a problem if it's not your only class of the day.

He is an awesome teacher! Retired from the military, but you wouldn't even know it. I have never liked History, but I really enjoy his class. He has a midterm, a final, and a 1 page research paper and that's it. He's a very interesting teacher and he loves getting to know all of his students.

So easy! You color a couple maps, listen to his entertaining stories, lets class out early, etc. You do learn about history but he knows we are not trying to be historians and he feels bad if you are a transfer since ASU sucks to accept credits from another school so he makes his class easy so we can get out and get a Masters (he encourages it!!)

If you are a history major, then I don't recommend taking this class. But if it is just your requirement, and you're trying to make a good grade, then TAKE HIM! You color two maps, take one midterm, turn in a ONE PAGE research paper (so easy), and you choose whether or not you want to take the final. He's awesome. Love the Bird's Eye!

I found his class to be VERY BORING. I mean it's literally the longest 1:15 mins of my life. The upside is how easy it is, you have to be moron to fail. If you are BLACK and easily offended DO NOT take his course, he will try to convince you that we were happy being slaves and that all people in the "projects" do are buy lottery tickets.

Dr. Birdseye is one of the easiest professor i have ever had in my life. I mean honestly, who lets you color in college? Just color a few maps, and turn in a 1 page paper and ur pretty much guaranteed an A. The down side to Birdseye is that he is incredibly boring yet tries to make jokes about history in class.

This professor Rocks!!! If you do not take this Professor you are cheating yourself out of learning some valuable information about History. Do not discount the information that he gives you in class. If you come to class and listen you will do well in his class. He is a five star teacher!!!!

I liked him. I didn't do much in his class because I was being lazy but I still passed. He loves to teach and is an interesting character. He gives extra credit. TAKE HIM!
