Professor is one of the nicest guys, I just wish he was better at teaching the material. He is often all over the place and there is no organization in his lectures. I want to like his class because he is so nice, but he is very confusing. The great thing is he gives a lot of partial credit so that bumps my score on his tests.

Hauri does a good job teaching non science majors, however all his class is is running through PowerPoints at rapid fire, and then you have a few tests that are all open response and you really have to study. The in class labs are cool tho.

He is a nice guy who really does mean well. If you talk to him, he knows a lot of practical applications of the material he is teaching. Wants you to learn the material because he is passionate about environmental problems. Would highly recommend.

Amazing professor! I took three classes with him. When you took all of his classes you know his style in class. Power points tip, he love maps! Study your notes ! Connect your notes and think it is a story. This will help you in your exam!

He is a weird guy who can be arrogant at times but is nice overall. For this class it was very rushed. He doesn't tell you what he expects you to know for exam just gives you chapter numbers that happens to be a bout 250 pages of textbook material per exam. Class is interesting but very hard

There's a ton of material, but if you go to his office, he'll help you with what to focus on for tests. If you don't, you'll have no idea what to study and you'll end up studying forever. The quizzes are a pain but there are a lot of take home quizzes too which help your grade a lot!

His quizzes are useless and normally don't relate to anything talked about in class. Doesn't follow the book at all, but that's probably because the book he liked got discontinued, so he continues to teach from it although its unavailable to students. Don't bother going to office hours, he is conveniently never there. Not hard clas, but frustrating

Weird sense of humor, but he means well. He wants you to understand the material but sometimes he is unclear. All of his tests are fair, just understand the concepts of the material. He does really know what he is talking about. Attendence isn't mandatory but if you dont go to class you miss ALOT!!! lab was pretty relaxed with him too.

Very fun class with a very informed teacher. I only had him for lab, but he always explained everything we needed to do in class. The lab reports were quite easy as well. Very enjoyable experience for me.

Not bad at all for a science requirement. His weekly quizzes are really easy and the tests aren't that bad if you study and do the basic half of the homework. He's willing to help you and review things you have problems with. Likes class participation!

Not a very good teacher...in a way he kinda sucks all the interestingness out of chemistry and just presents each class in a lecture format with powerpoint slides and lacks visuals. Basically, he tells, not shows. At least one demonstration for all the countless definitions and formulas he expects us to know would help a lot. Plus it's kind of a joke the quizzes compared to the much much more difficult tests. And extra credit is a waste of time...5 points MAX for an hour seminar PLUS a one page summary.

Nice guy, very well prepared, really likes class participation so speak up and ask questions, quiz every Friday on notes from that week. Exams aren't bad if you study and go to his review sessions. Go to his office hours and have him review any assignments.
