Headley is a solid choice if you're looking for a pretty easy PoliSci class. 5 tests throughout the quarter, one final essay. If you show up to class and pay attention, you'll be fine. I only skimmed through the books and did fine. Take notes and review them before a test. Not the most exciting class, but decently easy.

Headley is great. You don't really need to show up to class, but he does grade attendance lightly. Only two tests and one short paper for your grade. Lectures are usually really interesting. We watched several videos and movies that pertained to the subjects. I have taken him twice and like him. If you screw up on the tests, your grade will show it

Wrote one paper each week for the ten weeks. SO MANY documentaries. Would not take him during an election cycle. Preaches to his views and recommends 'unbiased' websites to get material from that are his views. Wrote all papers according to his views except one, and got a 4.0 on all but the one. Still an easy class tho.

Professor Headley is an awesome teacher. He's easy to listen to and extremely knowledgable. His classes are a lot of work if you want to do well - lots of ready and few things contribute to your grade, which really puts the pressure on - but also fun and really interesting.

He'll give a lecture on a topic, then watch a documentary, then a lecture on a topic, then a documentary. That's the cycle he uses to teach with all quarter. Make sure to do the readings outside of class or you wont pass. He did offer an extra credit paper for my class. He also dropped the two lowest test scores out of five.104

He's a good professor, he is very knowledgeable. The tests were somewhat difficult, so better come to class prepared for them. He doesn't use Canvas, so it is difficult to understand where your GPA lies, but it works out at the end.

Great Professor and straight forward. In Criminal Procedure and he assigns only four things. 2 in class open book, open notes tests. These consist of a hypothetical situation in which you find the legal issues and write an IRAC (which he will clearly explain) on each issue. A paper with a maximum of five pages in length and an outline of that paper

Great instructor, very clear and obviously knowledgable. Book was definitely required and you don't want to miss many days because of how many notes you take but class was interesting and the only two tests (and one paper) weren't too tough.

First class with him. Great teacher, knows a lot about the topics he teaches. He would appreciate it if you showed up every day, but you can still get a good grade and not show up every day. Pay attention in class, and you should be fine!

Awsome teacher! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Both classes I had with him were interesting. I highly reccomend taking one of his classes. Wasnt crazy difficult eigther- just show up and take good notes and you shuld do fine.

Headley is a great professor. He is very passionate about what he teaches and he wants you to learn. You have a test every two weeks, meaning there is no midterm or final, just five tests throughout the quarter and you're finished. He informs students everyday about what's going on in the world (NY Times). I would definitely recommend him.

He is a very smart man and is approachable after class. But he doesn't have structure when he teaches, so taking notes for test is like walking around in the fog. He tends to concentrate a little too much on articles. But the test are easy and the way he laughs is pretty entertaining in itself.

Comment:

Easy on the eyes in a soft, liberal, NY Times reading kind of way. Extremely helpful in a one on one advising role and in helping us to identify key law cases that laid the foundation for the "rights talk" we engage in regarding criminal law. I would highly recommend him as a professor. He made me love Kafka, and that can't be bad!
