This class was point-less. Grading was vague and arbitrary. Took attendance with his seating chart. Kept track of every person who talked in class. Essay tests are just impossible to get an A. Takes off for spelling, grammar, and punctuation, despite having only an hour to write 5 essays. Worst professor I've ever had in 4 years of college!

Class was business ethics and did not learn a single thing. He assigns seats and marks down everyone who talks in class for points. Test are essay and take off for every little mistake. Still waiting on his final grade, even though it was the first of 5 finals I took. Avoid him as a teacher!

He isn't as biased as others claim, he just takes the opposite view of whatever you're saying to help you develop your argument, but I agree that his grading makes no sense. The TA graded though, so it's more of a complaint about the TA. I don't know how you can give a 50% when the student covered all of the points you wanted. He curves though.

This teacher doesn't like when someone has other views then him, his grading does not make sense what so ever. I went into this class enjoying Philosophy and came out disappointed. He completely contradicts himself, and it's sad to know that I had to BS my way through the tests because I had to prove that things that aren't wrong, are wrong. Was

I'm sorry, but probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had to deal with. His grading doesn't make any sense. you complete the test questions completely thinking you'll get an A, but you get a 50%. it is ridiculous. when the highest grade turns out to be a 20/30 its saying something about you. It is not worth taking, it is a nightmare....

his lectures are extremely boring, he contradicts himself sometimes times and his tests are extremely hard. he's a nice guy though and a fair grader. usually he'll curve the tests if the class doesn't do well on them and that makes you grade a lot better! my TA was really helpful but i don't know if he's still there.

if you have never taken a logic class it can be just a bit challenging but if you attend class regularly you will do fine. There is a big curve in the class so dont worry if you get a D in the first exam, with the curve youll probably get a b. The teacher is not very helpful, unless you ask him to check your homework.

This class is a breeze! Lectures are pointless b/c everything he expects you to know is stright from the notes he posts on blackboard. I an A by reading over the notes he posted, then "agreeing" with his perspective on each issue for the exam. I was actually hated b/c I ruined the curve! Oh well..easy class if you figure him out early.

Dr. Hudson is a nice guy who will really try to help you to the best of his ability. However he seems to think that everyone in his class has foundation knowledge of the uncommon subject of symbolic logic. This class really isn't a gen ed!

This guy cannot teach logic. The concepts are easy enough, but he makes it so hard to understand, and his tests and quizzes are set up to trick you. The great thing is that no one understands what he is talking about so no one does good and he gives a giant curve. I'm sorry for all the phil majors that have to take logic with him. Good luck!!

He is very knowledgeable but he does not clearly state what he wants you to know for the test-his grading scale is different for every test-i wouldnt recommend this class-go to class and talk if you want participation points-very dry teacher-most people fell asleep

This class to me was boring. He only presents his point of view, which happened to disagree with. He is helpful but also opinionated. You can do well if you read and take notes, but he doesn't make the material as it could be. I would not reccomend him.

I enjoyed Dr. Hudson class. He is a unique individual, which I found refreshing. He definately knows his subject matter. It took me a while to get used to his "devil's advocate" presentation style, but once I did, I found he continously challenged my thinking.

Very traditional Philosophy professor, read before class and take lots of notes (of things he says not just what he writes down) and you'll do just fine. In-class essay tests are easier than most other classes.

Comes across as almost a parody of the incomprehensible intellectual. Demanding, unclear, and not especially helpful, but to his credit was very knowledgeable about course material-- the problem is with clarity, he'll have you counting the minutes until class is over.

Definitely a philosophy guy. This class sucked; I can't see how it has a practical application. If you're a computer guy and you think this will have something to do with computers, don't bother, its not worth it. We skipped right over the chapter on logic and computers.
