He is so kind, and loving. He has a strong testimony, and a extreme understanding in the topics of health. I really look up to this teacher, and who he is. He lives what he teaches. By far my favorite professor I have taken at Brigham Young University - Idaho.

Best teacher I ever had. He is so smart and passionate about what he does! Strong testimony and a celestial man that wants you to succeed in his class, but he makes you work for it. He is a legend!

I have read a lot of comments about Brother Lamph, and when I took his class I was very scared because of the things people had been saying about him, but I was pleasantly surprised. He is a very intelligent man who has a huge knowledge about Health but is very direct. There are only 3 tests, no finals, and you must do 3 hours of exercise a week.

The class was a bit scary because you really have to know all the answers. Brother Lamph really knows what he is talking about though. Sometimes he will ask you to forget what you learned in the book and remember what he said -it can be confusing but very helpful on tests. GO TO CLASS OR YOU'LL MISS OUT!!

Brother Lamph is an awesome man. His teaching style can be very negative to some, but the things he teaches are crystal clear and extremely practical. I would recommend him to anyone looking into a first aid class. Forget all you know about first aid and follow his teaching style and you will do well in his class.

James Lamph, despite the fact that he can be abrasive and seem strong headed, is a very excellent teacher. All his topics and lessons are clear and concise. If you steadily review your notes and textbook, you will get an A in his class. It is up to you whether or not you will pass or fail his class.

Do not take this class from him. Even though sometimes he could make me laugh it wasn't worth it. Sometimes he made me feel dumb when trying to comprehend the material. You grade is based only on your tests scores. Tests are oral and confusing. I studied for hours and hours and could barely get higher than a C. Great guy, not a good teacher

bro lamph is a jerk, it is hard to participate and learn in his class because he always makes fun of your comment and makes you feel like a complete idiot. i do not recommend his class. if you want to take personal heath and wellness take it from someone else. i garantee you will learn much more and get a better grade

Bro. Lamph has a very strong personality that definitely comes out in his teaching style. He means well but does not answer questions very clearly. Your grade is entirely based on how well you do on each oral test which seemed very subjective. His test questions were sometimes unclear and did not necessarily emphasize important or useful facts.

Besides the fact that this class is extremely hard, Brother Lamph is rude. He has no interest in helping his students, & he calls students out on the most ridiculous things. He is really good at making the students feel like idiots. Oh, and he'll make sure that you know he exercises everyday & that he's healthy. Find a different teacher. Wish I did

He makes you feel bad about yourself and repeats your stupid questions out loud for the class to answer. All of his tests are oral, and they are completely random. I didn't feel that I learned first aid, rather I learned numbers and statistics. Attendance isn't for points, but you need to go to do well on tests. He's a good guy, not a great teacher

Lamph does nothing in class but lecture directly from the book. The only opportunities for points for the WHOLE semester are 3 hard, random-seeming tests, the final, and a chart where you record all of your exercise for the week (3 hours minimum per week). If you miss 1 week/don't meet the minimum, you get no credit at all for the whole thing.

I really enjoyed the material learned in this class. Brother Lamp knows what he's talking about, and is very straight forward in what he expects you to know. All his tests are oral, and attendance is required to get a good grade. But study and know your stuff and its not hard.

Come to every class. He has a big heart but also is cut and dry when it comes to the material. His insights and reasoning for things make a lot of sense. He words questions funny on his tests, so study your notes really well. Take notes on everything he says.

Brother Lamph is not a very good teacher. He is concerned about students' grades because they reflect back on him. But he doesn't care enough abou them to help students. I couldnt stand this class!! Grade consist of 3 test straight from the book (lectures are pointless) and exercising 3 hours a week, but if you miss even one week, you dont get any points for the whole semester. All he does is lectures about how ignorant we all are about how unhealthy we all are. Makes you feel really dumb ALL the time! not a fan!

Brother Lamph is a great teacher. He is concerned about the students and makes sure that each student knows what they are doing and succeeds. If you don't get a A in this class then it is pure laziness on your part. He is very concerned about each student doing well. Don't mistake his personality for being mean. He just wants you to do well.
