Class is entirely in-person, doesn't post homework assignments online, becomes tedious to be in-class on lecture days if you are a book learner. In-class quizzes weekly. Tests are very difficult, but he is an extremely fair grader and will give you solutions as well as chances to earn points back. Do all the work and extra credit, and you will pass

I think it speaks for itself that I read the sections beforehand, understand it mostly, then go to his class to get confused as hell on the subject I mostly understood the night before. Terrible teacher, explains nothing, and if you get an answer wrong it's never his fault, it's the teacher you had before him or your fault for not following him.

Can be very condescending in class and does not enjoy answering questions or slowing down. 1 quiz a week and his grading methods require you to be extremely precise to get full credit. Does not seem to enjoy teaching.

Difficult teacher that is very unwilling to help. He usually just laughs at you if you ask a question in class. There is a quiz every week and four exams throughout the semester. He is a very harsh grader, and uses the most difficult problems for exams. I enjoy math and have always got A's, until this class.

He's boring but he goes over the material fairly. There are quizzes every week, which can get annoying. And your notation has to be perfect to get full credit on problems. I only went to class on quiz and test days and ended up with a B. For me it was easier to learn from the textbook.

He's very picky about using the correct mathematical notations. Every step must be shown and you should try to write your answers down as neatly as possible. There are quizzes every week and the tests are pretty tough. He's a really helpful guy if you ask questions in class but his grading is certainly harsh.

He was actually really helpful. He's nice and his giggles are really funny, but he's just super boring. So boring, that I don't want to go to class and skipping class caused me to be behind. I turned in a weeks work of hw late and still got almost full credit. 1 quiz a week on Thurs. Sometimes 2.

I had to basically learn straight from the book. He CANNOT teach. He'll almost always go into random side talks in the middle of a problem, he doesn't explain anything, he gets impatient if you don't understand, and he comes off as a know-it-all. ONLY TAKE HIM IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THE MATERIAL BEFOREHAND. Then you can just zip through quizzes/exams.

I did not like him the first couple of weeks. He gt better as the semester went by. DO NOT MISS THURSDAYS he gives out quizzes and you cannot make them up. Take notes they really help and his exams are basically the quizzes you took compiled into one test. Also bring the book to class it helps and you can work on problems on your own

Great calculus professor! His witty jokes made calculus fun and invigorating. Sometimes, he would make wierd faces at people when they asked questions in class. He gets a small bit impatient if you don't get it but would be happy to assist you. He gives hard extra credit problems!!!

Lum is kinda hard. he is somewhat clear, although he sometimes makes errors. He's a nice, fun teacher. his exams are difficult, definitely study. he's very helpful IF you ask. otherwise he will continue with the material. he's never missed a class so don't get your hopes up

Solid attendance is a must! The midterm questions are almost identical to quiz questions, which are very similar to the problems he goes over in class. If you don't miss class, and you study the quiz answer keys until you can reproduce the proofs verbatim, you can ace every test. would probably only recommend him if you're good at math
