it's been over 20 years and Mahaffy is by far my favorite bio teacher. Maybe as a freshman he seemed a bit distracted, but the man is brilliant and his passion is infectious. I took many many classes with him incl Paleontology. Watch him shine! He's amazing, he cares, he does his utmost to build your confidence & help you get through. A+

He is very unorganized in his lectures and gets distracted very easily. He also tests on what he was talking about when he gets distracted. However,he is very helpful and willing to meet with you to help you better understand the material. He is also pretty funny at times.

Wow, this is a hard course, crazy amounts of really specific memorization. Any parasite you can name he's probably had it. Giardia would be one of his favourite parasites, him and brother Anton go way back with that parasite. Funny guy but hard.
