Comment:

I took him spring 2015 and my biggest regret is not having him for more classes as he retired that year. The expectations are clear and very manageable. Very friendly professor if you stay after to ask for help he will always help you. Those that don't do well usually don't show up. Labs are easy and hes always there to offer a hand. Will miss him.

He's a very hard teacher. I liked him as a person but couldn't learn from him as a teacher. Tests are very hard, you need to study every word in chapters as well as in lectures to pass. Horrible, and I'm a bio major.

Although the tests were pretty tough, professor Marinaccio was a very nice guy. Always was more than willing to explain things. The concepts being taught in class were difficult to grasp but if you actually take the time to sit & read the chapters before class (like he recommends from the start), it is much easier to understand.

His lectures are boring, and he cannot stay on topic, with a tendency to go off on tangents and whatnot. He seems to know what he is talking about, but we do not. Just knowing the material does not seem to be enough, as it has to be exactly the way he wants it.

Does a decent job lecturing and explaining. Labs and lab quizzes pretty straightforward.. Multiple choice test is ok, but essay tests are graded way too strictly.. Studied hard and got a 40. Only 20 percent of class passed.

His tests were SO tough and no matter how much I studied I still got Cs. Labs are easy and so are the lab tests but there's no extra credit, tests have a lot of essay questions and Multiple choice which are not easy. More than half the students dropped out. I withdrew or my GPA was being brought down and I have a 4.0

He isn't a very personable professor, kinda dry .All in all it was quite boring and many were at risk of failing. I personally had to withdraw i tried a few things and nothing. it seemed like no matter what i wasn't prepared for the class. If you're good at bio and have time and effort to read and understand all in great detail,go for it

I DO NOT recommend to take his class at all. 4 exams consisted of 70 to 100 questions plus 4 essay questions. No homework, no quizzes or extra credit. He made the class really difficult and most of the material in the exams are not cover in the lectures. I spent 80% of my study time only in this class to fail it.

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. It made the class harder than it should have been. No hw, no projects, no quizzes which prevents student from getting a good grade at the end. Final grade based based on tests only. do NOT take him if you want your GPA to drop. I had 4.0 HAD until I stepped into his class.

Grade based 100% off of tests. Gives "extra-credit" based off of if you attend all lectures and labs or not. The book is required. Runs off on many tangents. Has a vast knowledge of the subject, so you must be interested in Biology if you want this professor determining your final grade due to how hard he grades.
