Highly recommend taking any of his classes. He is a great guy who really cares how everyone does, and makes you interested in the material. Makes everything clear as long as you pay attention, you will do fine.

My favorite professor at Temple. He actually wants to get to know all of his students. You'll get back what you put into this class. It's not easy but you WILL care about the material and want to do well

Extremely nice professor. Very clear what he expects from his students. His beyond project is very time consuming so start it early. He loves to help his students. He is a breath of fresh air. He is very relaxed and loves teaching. He sits down and teaches as if he is teaching his friends.

I hated his class with a passion. At first I thought he was great, but this guy pays most attention to the pretty girls and say inappropriate things. Half of the things he teaches are 100% untrue. Don't take his advice if you want to write. I took Magazine Fiction.

He is the best professor I've ever had. I learned more in that class than I ever have in any other class. He's a hard grader at times though, but that's part of why he's great. If he's hard on you it means he cares and expects the best. I go to him if I need advice anywhere from advertising to job interviews. He truly wants every student to succeed

I had Dr. Marra for both Copywriting (don't spell this word wrong, folks) and DEC. I can say firmly that I learned more about how to become a better writer in those two classes, than I did in all other English classes combined. If he's hard on you, it's because he is interested in how you develop as both a student and person. Take his class.

Professor Marra is awesome. He is the most helpful professor out there. And not only helpful with Copywriting, but with planning out your career at Temple University. He is a little harsh with the grading, but he has your best interest in mind. Take him, it won't be a disappointment.

Professor Marra inspired me to become a copywriter. He loves our generation and is fascinated with student's opinions and growth. He was the professor I dreamed of having before I began college. I will keep in touch with him after I graduate.

Dr. Marra is one of the best professors I've had at Temple. Marra's unique way of teaching, which includes him sitting in a desk amongst his students and taking notes along with the class, truly is a breath of fresh air. He likes to get the whole class involved in discussions, and takes a genuine interest in all of his students. I highly recommend!

Has an amazing way of teaching...it's the polar opposite of "talking down" to you. Marra takes the time to learn about you and will really get to know you, if you let him. During lectures he sits among his students and makes classroom discussion as comfortable as dinner conversation. In short, he cares about you. Not in a creepy way.

Gives a lot of individual and group projects, especially towards the end of the semester. Nice teacher, you'll learn a lot about copywriting. He wrote the text, I bought it for $22, never opened it once.
