As long as you THOROUGHLY READ THE CHAPTERS YOUR ASSIGNED and take very detailed notes you should be fine. He doesn't answer emails very often. He definitely tells you what he wants you to learn in the powerpoints, but leaves out information which shows that he definitely expects you to think for yourself and do your own studying. Difficult class

This is my second Biology class with this teacher and he is amazing! He is extremely helpful and always willing to listen to your questions. He's funny and gives you until midnight to turn in any homework that is due that day. He really cares about his students. Take Biology with MURPHY!

Murphy is a great teacher. He's very sociable, funny, easy, and gives a lot of bonus points. The labs are easy and as long as you show effort, you'll pass. Tests are fairly easy, just know the review sheet. Be warned, he might lock you out if you're late.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Murphy knows everything about every topic and can make the most boring stuff seem interesting. i hated biology before now, and now the class is the practically the high point of my week. definitly take bio 120 with him. There's alot of homework,but if you stay awake in the class its easy. He gives extra credit for everything.

I think it's pretty clear by now that Murphy is a great teacher. I was a little skeptical on the first day about what seemed like a lot of work, but it's all pretty interesting and helpful in learning the material. He's always patient and willing to explain anything, and he knows so much about his subject. Take his class; you won't regret it.
