Worst professor I ever had. Her lectures are so confusing and unclear. She preaches a lot and isn't willing to help you. She is predejuice and has way too many rules. Everything has to be done her way or she will get mad at you. The tests are open book but aren't easy b.c. it's hard to take notes from her lectures. Do not take her class!!!!!!!

Horrible! Do not take her class she was mean, forced religion down the classes throat and told you your opinion was wrong! Test and lecture had nothing to do with each other. She got side tracked a lot. Do not take her class.

DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER. She yells a lot, gives wrong information, and is stubborn as heck. If your scantron gets marked wrong for a question you got right, she WILL NOT give you the point. To me that isn't a fair teacher. She doesn't allow eating or drinking, except water, and will drop you from the class if you do.

She is the best and nicest teacher I have ever had since I came to Nassau. The only thing that you might dislike is the fact that you can't bring gum food or drink even water inside her classroom. Be on time, take notes and definitly join her club attend regularly you'll become 1 of her favorites and will pass with at least a A. LOVE prof. James :)

She is tough, open book/note. But she picks favorites. Be one of them. Be quiet. Be on time. Be very opinionated (agree with her opinion)Do not bring food/drink/gum/etc. Always have your phone off. I hate history but found her class entertaining and I missed the last 2 weeks and failed the final but still got an A because I'm 1 of her favorites.

She is an awful teacher plain and simple. She goes off on crazy tangents, is extremely ****ed and arrogant and just well sux at her job which is teaching. I found her hilarious. She always kept you on your toes. You take a ton of notes but there is a good chance that the test will be open book. She will try to help to the best of her ability, but the rest you got to do on your own, like studying for it. She also picks favorites so don't get on her bad side. Easy enough.

Prof.James is one of my favorites. She may be a bit older and sometimes reminds you of your grandmother but she is a very good teacher.Dont expect a handout, most tests are open book and she basically gives you the answers in your notes,I loved her class.

Prof is really nice and very hilarious. Tests are usually open-notebook (and textbook) You have to make sure you come on-time to class, be prepared with worksheets she hands out. Participation is big and she enjoys feedback. But dont try bringing in food and/or drinks. She dilikes any types of disturbances.

Pretty bad. She doesn't just play favorites but she REALLY picks on people she doesn't like. It was entertaining but I feel really bad for them. She's anal about lateness and being "interrupted," though she makes it much worse. I've gotten an A in every history class since 10th grade, not now. Her tests are ridiculous, wish I could say more. Avoid.

Shes crazy, tests are hard and unclear, one was open book, but only one section where we didnt need it. Plays devils advocate all the time to start heated debates. Gives false info constantly. Dont eat/drink/come late/bathroom break or you get yelled at, she interrupts herself to yell about how youre interrupting the class, when nobody noticed you.

Prof. James is an enthusiastic patriot. History is her world. She views us as the present history and reminds us of how much history we are a part of today. She puts her own spin and flavour in all of her lessons. If you want to do very well in her class you must 1)show up 2)take notes 3)reread your notes each night 4)be respectful. Enjoy
