Professor Peden is the best. The course work is labor intensive and sometimes difficult but Professor Peden is an excellent prof who answers all questions and is keen to the needs of the students. His real-life experiences in law and his buddy 'george' all help him communicate the lessons effectively. Do the work and you'll succeed.

I LOVED Peden. Enjoyed his class very much & he made it very entertaining. He has TONS of experience & will tell stories that are entertaining & helpful! He teaches in a manner that makes it easy to recall what he said (& even the way he said it)! Would definitely recommend. I can't wait to have him for Crim Pro next term!

Really enjoyed his class. Had one of the trickier tests based on his past exams, but there were no surprises. He tells it as it is. You will enjoy stories about George and himself and there crimes together. I will take him for Crim Pro.

2nd time I've had him. Very intertaining. Lets you out early if you're done. Dones't meanlessly take up the whole 3 hours just b/c. Tells U exacty what's gonna be on the exam 14th week. Study his past exams & all the MC on the portal & you can't get worse than a C. 2 Essay Qs: (1) Illegal S&H & (2) confession.

Not as good as people say. I think they find him ammusing and that reflects on their rating of him. He is not very clear and often says contradictory statements. Would not take if you really want to learn. However, if you want to be amused he is great.

I enjoyed his real-world experience stories... and George (his fictional character used for every story). Everyone thought his exam was tough & did worse in his class than the others, I was the opposite. He loves conspiracy & murder so, obviously he's going to test on them. Low-use of the socratic method.

Watch out for this guy. Told our class he was going to teach the common law and then his exam was 1/3 MPC. A past student of his came into our class on another promotion and told us this. I should have listened.

tough grader. great classroom demeanor. contrary to prior comments, he is not pro-criminal...he is strong believer in the appropriate application of criminal law to an appropriate situation. loves conspiracy 1st and burglary 2nd. fact patterns short. chock full of issues. defense attorneys are often entertained w/prosecutorial arguments.

Pedon's sharp, helpful, and pretty damn hilarious. He was a public defender for awhile, so he's super liberal, but thats a good change from the usual law prof.
