Honestly, Hard Class. Don't expect an easy A. SHow up to class and prepare to learn. Failed all three exams and managed to get a B. Just try and attend class. Biobucks will be crucial.

A really nice guy, but his slide shows are so disorganized. It is really hard to learn anything by going to his class. I learned better when I read the chapters on my own time and didn't go to class. Always there are many errors on exams and slide shows.

A great guy. Is willing to help you upon request. I struggled with the exams which were difficult but the bio bucks were VERY helpful. CFAR was also helpful. I managed to get an A- in the class. Just work hard and you'll do fine.

Lectures were extremely boring. He uses powerpoints every class but they are incomprehensible for the most part, and do not pertain to the textbook. Biobucks are the only good thing about this class for extra points, but it doesn't matter much considering the difficulty of the tests. The class average for was ridiculously low, around 65%.

Okay, I slacked off all sem, iv opened the book prob once and still gonna pull of a C. If you apply yourself a little bit more than i did you should be able to get B or better no problem. He does expect a lot on tests but go to lectures for biobucks...and knowledge.

He is the worse prof. I've ever had! lectures were sleep worthy! The way he present the information during class was not how it was on the exams. Even with a tutor I couldn't pass an exam. Class avg. was around a 60 and he acted like he didn't care

One of the best profs I've had so far. He keeps class fun and interesting, the biobucks make up for the hard exams. If you attend every class you get a bonus 10 points on your FINAL GRADE. Study hard and join a CFAR group or something and you'll be just fine. I have an A in the course right now without too much effort.

He does a good job presenting material in class and keeping lectures interesting. He has a great sense of humor and plays fun music in class. He also gives out a lot of bonus points for his attendance BioBucks that really helps boost your grade. Biology is a hard topic and the class isn't easy but if you have to take it he's a good choice.

Thought he was really good. Yeah, he's tough, but the attendence points more than make up for it. If you study off his review sheets and read the text book you'll do fine on the tests. Powerpoints get a little boring, but he's got a good sense of humor and he makes it worth your while to be in class (pretty much ten extra points on your FINAL avg)

The class is not as difficult as people make it out to be. Yes, he doesn't scale, but he awards TONS of extra cred for simply showing up to class. It's not an impossible course, tho it does take work. I never bothered with reading and got an A

really great guy- plays music before lecture. Go to class or you will fail. The biobuck points are essential. You learn a lot, you likely won't get an A, and you work your ass off. Don't take this class if you think it's a fluff course.

If you are the type of person who does not like to go to class this is not the class for you. There is extra cedit for those who go to class through the use of Bio bock points. You will need these the test are not scaled and the avg. is low 55-60% in class of a 100. Find someone with a test from last year to see how they are written,this will help

You should only take this class if you are a serious bio student.Pollard is super nice guy,will answer any questions, but his exams are impossible and he admits it; the class average out of 100 or so students is about a 55-65%.Significant ExCred. for attending class.GO.Labs and ExCred. saved me.
