He is a very old man, but also very wise. He wrote the textbooks we used after all! Sometimes it was hard for me to pay attention because the material can be dry and he speaks quietly and slow. However, he has his moments and can be pretty funny and good-natured. Taking notes is important for the tests. You can tell he loves teaching still.

The first few weeks of class he covers foundational stuff. It may seem a little obvious and slow, at first, but pay attention. Everything else builds off of this. FR. Reichmann is an old world professor. Lectures are not super exciting, but they certainly have their moments. He is very clear and concise. Also a linguist-likes giving some etymology

If you want to be challenged, don't take his class. I've experience a lot of "duh" moments. He sounds exactly the same as the reading material (which he wrote). Likes detail/specifics. Tip to enduring boredom: Tally frequent phrases he uses!!

As mentioned, he definitely has his opinions. I found the class very boring yet his humor endearing and at times very humorous. He has a very dry sense of humor and expects memorization of the small stuff. I wouldn't say I enjoyed the class, but I must say that he grades on attendance (i had 5 absences) and he is VERY easy to get help from.

He definitely has his own opinions. I found it challenging to remember to stick with what we'd gone over in class rather than stick in my own view. often I did add in my own view after demonstrating an understanding of the material covered & I was not docked gradewise for doing so. His interest in the material & teaching shows. He's easy to contact

Father Reichmann is a danger to anyone with a brain. To disagree with Reichmann is to get a bad grade in the class. His positions are indefensible, his thought processes clouded with senility and pseudo-intellectual garbage. He is only interested in supporting his own views and cares nothing about teaching people to think for themselves. horrible!

As everyone else says, he is a very sweet man, and would be interesting to talk to outside of class. He is kind of tough to understand, however; but I found myself using the arguments I learned even outside of class. Good material, but I don't like his approach. Lots of pros and cons to his class, but I'd say more cons. I hated his quizzes.

Father Reichmann is really nice and a sweet man. But he's really boring and 50 minutes feel like 2 hours. I don't recommend him. His quizzes are half and half. The true and false part sucks; it screws your quiz grade. The short answers are a lot easier...yea. Don't take this dude.

He is a really nice old man, but the worst teacher that I've ever had. The 50 minutes I have to sit through his class are longer than the rest of my day. I do NOT recomend him as a teacher. He needs to retire. But he is a really cool nice guy.

this jesuit has to be the sweetest man on earth. so cute and funny adn caring. although his classes are the most boring things ever and i cant handle sitting through them - i think hes just too old to lecture these days... he needs to retire and write another book and do a book signing tour to make people smile.

Probably the most kind hearted man I have ever met. Very approachable and understanding. He is very intellectual and funny; however, at times his class and lectures can drag on but overall the class is worth it! I would recommend Fr. Reichmann to everyone!

Great teacher. Absolutely brilliant. Old, yes, but he knows his stuff. Shows true passion for subject when he teaches. Adds humor to the class. Sweet man, reminds me of my grandpa! He respects you. Quizes have a LOT of T/F. Just read the material and take notes and this class will be a breeze. :)

The man needs to retire, seriously, he makes no sense and he grades hard. I do not recommend him at all. I have never disliked a teacher as much as I do him. He is a very sweet man but horrible teacher.
