Prof. Smith is retiring. Finance is really difficult for me, but he makes it easy to understand. His gradings, though, are based off few things. No extra credit, not much homework, and quizzes, so Exams are the only chance to get good grades.

Prof. Smith is a cool dude. He will hold your hand through lecture material and give many opportunities to ask questions. His exams are multiple choice -- take advantage of it! Notes provided in class and he works through examples.

Best professor I've had by far! I had him for F371 in Icore and took F402 mainly because I knew he was teaching it. The way he explains things makes sense and his grading is fair. I'd take as many classes with him as you can. He is highly respected and loved in Kelley.

I've taken two of his courses and he's the best Professor I've ever had. His teaching style breaks down the material in a way that anyone could understand. He's a Professor that wants you to learn and doesn't try to trick you on the tests like some try to confuse you. He's VERY handsome, dresses nice and is funny.

The best finance professor in the department, hands down. Makes everything very clear and is always available to help. His class will require studying, but this is I-Core we're talking about so that's expected. Follow his notes his gives you and grasp those styles and concepts and you can easily get a B if you're even the slightest bit competent.

He has great teaching skills! One of the most clear and concise professor with great stories to tell! I enjoyed his class. He's always open to answering questions and clarifying them without making you feel dumb like other professors. He's also very kind. I have nothing but great things to say about him.

Prof. Smith is awesome! Finance is not my major but I found it interesting thanks to him. He provides great examples, hands out the worksheets for notes, and the tests are all based on class notes. He tells great stories and is a pretty funny guy. Very approachable. He makes finance understandable but you still need to study if you want to pass.

What a boss! By far the best instructor I've had at IUPUI. Hands out class notes that cover all the relevant material, shares some pretty great stories from time to time, and is an all around great dude. He also is pretty sharp; undergrad from Princeton and MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Ranked #2 Worldwide).

I took him for ICORE. Because I am interested in finance I found his lectures extremely interesting and exams were conceptual from notes and book. He was so good, I took his valuation class F402 (I recommend taking if finance major). He was one of my favorite professors and he is fun to talk to as well.

Great prof. I dreaded taking this class as I hate math and struggled with accounting. He made concepts very easy to understand and was always happy to stop mid-lecture to clarify concepts, so ask questions if you are confused about anything! Personally loved his dry sense of humor. This is a professor who genuinely cares about his students.

I never purchased the book and didn't have trouble with this class. Make sure to know how to solve the practice problems before each exam and quiz. If you know how to solve the problems then the exams and quizzes are not any harder in my opinion.

Smith is good professor. He is very knowledgable in business and finance. He is a very serious business man, but has a dry sense of humor sometimes. Always very well prepared for lectures and gives useful notes for understanding how to work problems. Pay close attention to these notes as the book is hardly really used and the course is challenging.

He is the epitome of a business professional. He speaks well, doesn't raise his voice ever, and is extremely knowledgeable regarding finance. If the class was slightly less difficult it would be my favorite. Always wears tailored suits. Is an ideal university instructor.
