Pointless class you take purely because it is required by a specific program. It's essentially biology powerpoints by various people that will either be insulting basic, or so beyond your level of understanding that you'll question why you are in the program.

He is a tough grader but he teaches the best. He gives you extra credit opportunities that is 3% of the grade. He knows his material well and he will explain you until you understand. I will definitely take with him.

Ok I took his class because of his good rating, but I was very disappointed when I took his class. Not a good instructor, he skipped the material in class and told us to read about it and then he graded us on that. He also used lab time to give lecture. There are some extra credit opportunities, a lot of questions for 3 points. Really tough grader.

Dr. Tuohy is an amazing teacher! He is a difficult grader but is more than willing to help his students! He gave notecard quizzes at the beginning of most all class periods about the last class. They were just a couple points each but could affect your grade if you didn't show up. He really cares about his students doing well!

Dr. Tuohy teaches a lot of entry level bio classes at GCC. Yes, he's a tough grader, but he makes it so easy for someone to learn the material, and he tells you at the beginning of the semester exactly what is expected of you and there is absolutely no confusion as to what you need to do. Don't take any of his classes for an easy A.

I MISS HIM ALREADY! Had him last semester and he is very tough, but he is also VERY good at what he does. He is actually teaches, sets examples, but also expects you to put in work and effort as well. You're in college, learn to study! I encourage anyone serious about wanting a great education to take him, but know you have to put in the time!

When I first saw him I thought that he would be rude but he is the exact opposite. You can tell that Dr. Tuohy cares deeply about his students and just wants to see them succeed. He is a very respected man and most certainly should be. He will most certainly help you and not downgrade you for having difficulty with the subject matter.

I did hold my feedback until I took the class again with other instructor and passed it with high A. He is a good man but defiantly not a good teacher. His first exam that no one had an A on the class including those who took the class twice. Extremely hard grader and hard test. lecture no thing about confusing. Don't take BIO at GCC.

Dr. Tuohy is one of my favorite professors of the sciences, ever!! Hes extremely helpful and will everything in his power to assist any student that needs it. His class is not easy, but his grading is fair, he doesn't try to trick you at all, he will provide you with all the tools needed. You just have to put in the effort and you'll do well.

Get ready to study, but in the end it pays off. First test was the hardest for me then I realized how his tests were going to be like and then i found a good way to study but his tests are hard. He is funny and will keep you interested in his lectures, he knows a lot about what he teaches.

This dude is tough! Its worth it though, i am so far ahead of my peers now because he wants you to actually learn this stuff. Plus he looks like Captain Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek and kinda sounds like him too (he is English). awesome dude!

Really great bio professor!! His lectures cover everything you need to know for the test. You still need to review the material before the test, so exam study guides help loads! Dr. Tuohy makes learning biology understandable and fun!

Dr. Touhy make's this class super easy. Just be sure to attend lectures and do the mastering biology and lab reports! Also, doing the study guides helps for the tests. You don't even have to read the textbook, just be read the lecture notes he gives in class! The nicest and most hilarious professor I've had so far!

Mr. Tuohy is very passionate about biology but grades very tough. Alot of card quizzes will be questions on the test and you must study alot because he does ask about small little stuff he says in class that is not on the slides he gives. Expect alot of homework as well. He does offer extra credit which helps.

Great Bio181 teacher! He knows the material really well and is passionate about it. You do have to pay attention and study but its a biology class its not supposed to be easy. He is always willing to help and has reviews before every test. Really wish he taught Bio182 :'(
