I appreciated her knowledge of the counseling field; however, she allowed her biases to interfere with teaching. I found her to be passive aggressive in grading and very intolerant of conservative Christians. If she knows your devote in your faith, watch out!

I had Jan in grad school and really enjoyed her for all the classes I took and also had her as an advisor. Jan is fair in the work the she requires and will also challenge you; she is reasonable. And yes, Jan does the in the Department of Counseling AND College Student Personnel. There is a reason why she is highly revered in the profession...

Jan is the best. She has superior use of class time; I leave her classes wondering how she has covered so much in 2 1/2 hours. She grades papers within a week, no exceptions. She's fair and flexible. She has high standards, but it's grad school. We should be living up to them. Take her whenever possible! It's a challenge worth having.

This is the best professor I've ever had. She's warm, funny, and incredibly smart - she's very challenging in the classroom which made me want to learn more. You're lucky if you have her for one of her many courses....

She's an asset to SHIP.VERY knowledgable in STUDENT AFFAIRS-her area of concentration. Her multicultural class was great, so was field and all Student Personnel classes--"avoiding her" would only hurt you!
