8:00 class was horrible, I fought to stay awake. You begin the class with Medieval music and SLOWLY ease into modern day classical music. She is very skilled and knows what she is talking about. Try to get the 10 listening journals and a classical concert report done fast, it will make the class a breeze. & Her study guides aren't helpful:p

Class only has 500 points, but half of that is through listening journals (150) and a concert report (100). If you complete those throughout the course it is easy to get full credit and get good grade. Easy to get good grade even though course can be boring at times.

Dr. Zwerneman is very passionate about her job.If you have a musical background or don't have one at all,you will walk away with a ton of information.She has three quizzes, the final, 10 listening journals (don't do them at the last minute),and one concert report. If you get all the journals and concert report done early, class should be easy.

She is very passionate, and I respect her. However, I just don't think it was really necessary for her to give so much for us to study. There was only about half the material on the test from the study guides, and it made me cram more than I needed to, causing me to struggle with other classes.

She is very passionate about the music. For my personal experience i only took it because i had to fulfill a GE requirement.I found it instead Loving it. Have to attend a symphony concert for project and do a music journal. one may find it a lot of work but is all beneficial. Plus concerts are fancy dressing. :D

Easy class, easy A. Her lectures are pretty boring. The quizzes and exams are easy and she gives you a study guide so you know whats on the test. We had one paper and I felt she was a very easy grader. I reccommend her class

She is a very easygoing person. easy quizes and 2 concert reports that are very easy also. She will give you the list of the concert for the reports so try to go to the free concert which you dont have to pay money,,,. she sometimes did not give us the break between the 4 hour lecture,,,and i didnt like that.

Do not try to learn Rudiments from this teacher. She only teaches it on Thurs. one night a week for almost four hours. It is incredibly difficult to retain her lessons in one class meeting per week.

This woman is so nice! Her voice is a little boring and monotone, but I had her once a week for 3 hours. She tries to seem tough on the first day, but she's really easy going. 3 Listening quizzes and 2 concert reports. Nothing was a surprise on the quizzes. Must see concerts outside of class.

Lectures were well-organized. Had outlines with the information and she made sure you had time to take it down. Easy tests, and gives clear directions for concert reports. Think about what you hear and you will do well. I had fun. :)
