Comment:

She's passionate about her job which means she goes on unrelated rants. Can be very disorganized and doesn't give you any material to study from until two days before quiz, most of it you have never seen or heard of before. Half of the time, I didn't know what was going on in the class. Only uses textbook for glossary.

She is really nice & sweet. But, her lectures are all over the place & unorganized. She goes off on tangents that don't matter. She will give you the material the day before a quiz. Know the glossary of the book like it's the back of your hand!! She doesn't go over anything thoroughly. If attendance didn't count, I wouldn't go b/c i don't learn.

AWFUL SHE'S AWFUL. Okay, so at the beginning of the semester she asked us what we wanted from her as a professor, the only thing I wanted was clear and logical lectures. I didn't get that. she assigned 1 paper, and and 1 test. then a WEEK AFTER the class ENDED she assigned another paper and test. her lectures were crazy and all over the place.

Janice is a very sweet, kind professor; however I would not recommend her. She was always unclear about assignments, I have not received any grades all semester, and if you ask her a question, be prepared for her to get sidetracked and not give you a clear answer about anything. She's sweet, but not a good teacher.

If you can avoid taking her, do so. She isn't the worst professor, but she isn't very clear when discussing concepts. She's nice, but can also be very blunt, which comes across as rude most of the time. I can't say if she's a hard grader since Humanities is split between two professors and the grades are averaged. Very unorganized.

She is the art professor. Her second test was harder than her first, although her first test was very easy. She is a good professor, but sometimes can act like the class is dumb it they're quiet and not answering questions. She yelled at us and face-palmed several times. Brush up on your art knowledge and history before taking her.

Color Experience class. Very nice person, knows her art/color theory. Quite disorganized tho & gave NO grades thru mid-term. Instructions are not clear--all of class had to repeatedly ask questions & even then not really clear. Classes were sometimes VERY boring with LOTS of time staring at paper. She is always willing to help & discuss.

Janice is a good teacher, sometimes her outlines of the assignments can be hard to comprehend but once your get them, they're simple. You do not have to be amazing at drawing to pass this class. She is very passionate about her work and that makes the class enjoyable. I suggest her highly.

Even though I can't say I always understood the assignments from her instructions, being in Janice's class really helped envigorate my interest in art. I never realized how much art was so much more than skill but its also very personal and about expression. I would strongly suggest taking a class with her even if as an elective.

Janice is a very sweet teacher. After I failed a quiz she gave me extra credit to do to make it up! The quizzes can be difficult if you don't pay attention and study a little bit but they aren't terrible. Overall she was a great teacher and I would definitely take her again for another class. The powerpoints were very helpful too!

I loved Janice. She really got me interested in art..especially ancient greecian/roman architecture. She does tend to go a million miles a minute, but she makes art interesting. Her quizzes were easy and she made the concepts easy to understand. Overall, I loved her. I'd take her again if I could.

Janice is very helpful, and she knows her art. Janice will also go and talk to the other professors if she believes that they are being unfair with their grades. Janice is very unorganized, but she LOVES her job. The best art Humanities professor there is.

Ske loves what she does. Janice does let anybody sit in the back of the class. Her powerpoints are the best, and her tests come directly from them. She was the best of the 3 Humanities professors. I am taking her this summer.

Lets mix the positive with the negative here. Janice knows her art..but she is very unorganized. Most of the class time is spent lying to us about her computer breaking down so we never got the whole hour. Dont expect to have the test the day she assigns it...she probably wont show up. She is a very nice person...and I made an A in the art section.

Janice is great. She tells you exactly what she wants you to know, and if you study your notes, you'll do well in the class. I liked how hands on she was, particularly when she did the pastel art during one class. Recommend taking her.

Lets see, she wants the class to sit on up of each other, NO spaces in seating, no talking, no sleeping, no cell phones, no leaving class. these are a few things that PISS her off majorly. And she will tell you to leave the class room. Other than that she does not give tests, only quizes every other week, and drops the lowest one. She is good.
