The instructor is fine. IFT 120 is so repetitive its boring. It could do without all of the capstones. It should do one that ties them all together. Seriously the course is a snooze fest after taking the prereq; you will do the same thing just slightly different. Nothing you can't figure out through youtube or Microsoft.

Comment:

I took Janine's online IFT course. She took the book and made it into a Powerpoint with the the info you actually need. If you can buy SNAPs without the book, do so. The course does a great job of teaching what you need. If you already know Word this'll be an easy A. She was always available, quick to fix any problems, most easy going teacher ever.

This professor is easygoing. Lots of homework, so stay on top of it. Allows late submissions, but takes points off it very late. Attendance doesn't seem necessary, especially if you understand the material. Hard to take her seriously because she seems scattered. Do your homework, quizzes, and exams, and you will pass. Easy A

She is very caring and she speaks at a consistent pace, very smoothly and clearly. There are a few business letters you write during the semester and a 10-minute speech you must do. But while she kept calling it a speech, it's really a simple PowerPoint that's graded on good delivery methods - that's ALL! Fast email responder and organized.

Book and online work did not correspond. Tons of work, several homeworks for one lesson, quiz each week, 10-12 tutorials on SNAP each week. When there is a test, there's 2 one concept and one skills. Professor though, very accommodating, I had accidentally skipped one test the first time bc I didn't know there were 2 and she let me make it up

I will be re-taking this class in the spring. The class is setup extremely well and organized. She is a fast responder and willing to help students with any concern or issue. I am re-taking because of an unexpected family issue but I was on my way to an A and I am terrible with IT. If you struggle with MS OS, than definitely take the classroom

She's an amazing teacher! I had some issues and fell behind on homework and her exact words were you test grade get homework in when you can. I enjoyed her class very much and you can see she respects her students. She's the type of teacher i hope to become one day! Definitely recommend her :)

A truly one-of-a-kind professor. Goes above and beyond in too many ways to mention. If you do your part in putting your best effort, you will do fine. She encourages you to be successful and is one of the few who really cares about her students success. You do your part and she won't slam you grade-wise. Incredibly reasonable!
