She really knows what she is doing when it comes to advising. However each time I went to her for advising she would change what she said from my last advising session. It made me very confused and concerned if I was on the right track. She is one of the better advisors just be aware of what you need to make sure your schedule is actually correct

Janna is the greatest advisor I could've asked for. No matter what I needed, she was there with fantastic advice. More importantly, she cares about the wellbeing of her students instead of pushing things that would solely benefit the University. Being a Foundation Scholar was an honor. She is the sole best thing about my time at SVSU.

I tell Janna she is my lifesaver at least one a month. She is the most helpful person I have encountered at SVSU and always has time to answer my questions. I feel so extremely lucky to have Janna as my scholars advisor and as my academic advisor and feel as though she is BY FAR the best advisor on campus.

Janna is the best advisor in this school. If you can, request her help. She is the most helpful advisor I have ever seen, she's told me what I have to do to graduate, what study abroad would be best for me, and she's even given me helpful hints on how to succeed with certain professors. I made the mistake of meeting with a different advisor and was back in her office the next day. She cuts through the BS, is actually interested in helping, and knows the ins and outs of the university. Save yourself two trips and request her! She's fun and honest, and always has a smile!
