Golec was one of the best math professors at Fordham. His lectures are clear and detailed and his tests/quizzes reflect what he taught in class which is unlike most of the math professors at Fordham. ABSOLUTELY take his class! HIGHLY recommend

Comment:

Took him for probability and statistics last year. No need of doing the HW he assigns, as it is not even graded. Just practice on your own and seek help outside class and you'll be fine. Wording of quiz/test questions is a bit unclear and confusing at times. He is very helpful during office hours and is a really nice man.

He is a great guy that's there for his students. He may be a little confusing at times but if you go to extra help and do the homework there should be no problem. Completely bombed the second midterm and he said he would look over it when computing my grade. Awesome and funny guy. He is great.

Professor Golec is a great man and wants his students to succeed. He welcomes questions and is very approachable. The subject matter in this class was challenging but not out of reach. He tries to make it fun by making jokes. Expect a quiz or test every other week (five quizzes, two tests/"midterms" and a final) and homework assigned every class.

Old Polish guy - equal parts sweet and hilarious. Gets real excited about math, which is nice when you need help, but sometimes slows you down in class when he spends too much time on one proof. Class is definitely challenging, but Golec is approachable and understanding.

Professor Golec is the man. Very nice, funny little European accent (like Gru from Despicable Me). Very difficult material for freshmen, but needed if in the Honors program. Makes it as easy as possible. I put in a good amount of effort and have an A. There are 6 quizzes (lowest drops), 2 Tests, and a Final. Daily HW. Take him.

Very helpful professor. He moves at a bit of a fast pace, but this is because he didn't want to waste any time. His quizzes and tests are hard, but only if you don't have a full grasp of the material. Very helpful and willing to assist students in need. I would recommend him for an advanced math course.

He is such a nice guy and very helpful during office hours. Very enthusiastic about what he does. Sometimes he can be very confusing and his homeworks are difficult, but he tells you exactly what's on the tests. Might be a bit difficult if math isn't your thing but I loved him.

Professor Golec is the best Professor I had during my first semester. He really cares about his students, and wants them to succeed. He offers a 'human touch' to students who put effort in to complete the homework. The course content is demanding but Golec does his best to make himself accessible. Listen out for his stories, he made math fun!

Very hard class. He's not good at explaining things, he moves quickly and expects you to understand everything. He counts daily homeworks as part of your grade, and they take at least an hour to do (this course meets 3x a week).

He is one of the most caring and nice professors you will meet at fordham. I took his class for math for business finite. If you do homeworks you will do absolutely fine, and he will reward with appropriate grades or higher.

Such a hard class. You may despair, not gonna lie, but it gets better as time goes on, and Golec helps out at office hours and sometimes study sessions. I enjoyed the business applications in this class. Not much calc- just really weird math that culminates in learning Capital Asset Pricing Model. HARD grader on quizzes- easier on midterms

Professor Golec is the man! Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you miss class you miss the covered material. Homework is quick and easy, and the quizzes, tests, midterms, and final aren't bad at all. If you have basic knowledge of the subject and take notes on the things you don't understand, you should be able to get an A.

I will likely get an A for the semester, but I would rather have a professor who could better communicate what he is teaching.

Professor Golec is a good teacher. He doesn't always explain things clearly, but he is definitely worth taking. He has a good sense of humor which he incorporates into his teaching. His tests and quizzes are fairly easy and he offers plenty of extra credit on exams. If you apply yourself/like math, he is an easy teacher.

Golec teaches a really tough class. He will make you work and you may struggle at first, but he is very open with office hours and you learn alot from them. He grades fairly and sees that if you put in the effort he will give you a good amount of credit for doing so. Scales the grade at the end to help you out. Do your homework! Boosts your grade
