I would definitely recommend this professor. She's really fun, her prompts and lectures are great and she was able to get actual authors of different genres to speak to the class regarding their work and experiences. You will learn a lot!

Difficult literature, difficult discussions and tests, but she grows you so much as a writer. Great sense of humor, understanding, and although she is hard on your writing it is always constructive. She is very excited about the literature she teaches and tries her best to make it interesting for everyone. Very supportive and knowledgeable!

I had professor Lyman-Thomas for a hybrid class and it was ok. She rarely responds to emails but will answer any questions that you may have during class meetings. She does not know how to use Canvas.. I literally had to email her all of the assignments that I turned in through canvas. Her lectures are interesting but she is unorganized.

Professor Lyman-Thomas is one of my favorite profs at AACC. Her classes are fun and easy. The assignments leave a lot of leeway so you can be creative. She is an easy grader. Her tests are simple. She really just wants to make sure you are understanding the material and teaches because she loves the subject.

She is great in the way of easy and not a heavy work load, but if you need to actually learn, do not take her. I placed into a higher english and took the easier courses to make my life easier. If you do the same, take her! You WILL NOT fail! But if you are struggling in english, beware. She makes you do peer reviewing for every paper!

Um, let me just say firstly that Professor Lyman is awesome. She's creative, interesting, and talks to you like you're a human being. If you want to further your fiction skills she's the perfect person. She totally understands the art of procrastination. She's an angel. Take her class, it'll only make your life better.

I've been writing for more than 10 years on my own, so most of what Prof Lyman talked about was not new to me. Nevertheless, she was interesting! Going to Creative Writing class was motivating and got me to write more often than I had been. The only problem was that I could not keep track of my grade.

I absolutely love Lyman. She grades you on technique, not content, which is just what a creative writing teacher should do She's funny, creative, and super entertaining. She uses movie examples in class to relate to everyone, not just those familiar with the classics. I will be signing up for her again, and I suggest you do the same! :)
