My favorite political science Professor. Ive taken five classes with her and done research. She is very bright and humble. She encourages students to do their own research and think critically/independently which is good. If you work hard,she will help,just email her with ample time to respond. Best Prof in her dept and prob the best at Kean!

Best professor I have had at Kean took her Multiple times. Every class is about your own knowledge and research, I hope you like to debate! I honesty miss not having her class every week. Highly Recommend she clearly layouts how she will grade you and as long as you attend and participate you will have no issues.

Took her for PS2110. The classes titular name was "Political Science of State and Local Politics" but to be honest, most of our classes consisted of showing up and talking about current events for several hours. Nothing bad on Dr. Keil's part because she is a very nice and helpful professor. Do your final assignments and don't miss class for an A.

She is not worth taking, very boring, and talks about herself most of the lectures and did not learn a thing from her class. She doesn't follow the syllabus, gets easily distracted, and does not stay on topic. She doesn't answer her emails and gives you the most pointless take home final. This is coming from someone who got a B+ in her class.

I have a better understanding of state and local politics from taking her class. Keil's encouragement of participation furthered everyone's comprehension of how statelocal public policy makers deal with important issues across the nation. The syllabus had links to many articles BUT it should of had a link to the NJ Constitution as well.

This professor is crazy, but in a good way. She loves a good debate and that keeps the class engaged in current events. There is a high level of open participation where everyone in the class feels they can state their own opinions without ridicule. 3 exams, and 2 presentations.

I absolutely loved her. She is very fair. 3 exams and 2 papers. 2/3 exams were take home-very negotiable. Had a FULL exam review right before the one in class exam. Only failed if you didn't pay attention to review. I thought she was hilarious. Hope to have a class with her again. Contact her if missing class.Encourages us to take action!

This professor is very smart and knows her stuff. She likes to inform her class on current events and likes to see her students views about policies and leadership. If you are not a class participator, this classs is no for you. Also her comedic timing is impeccable and you will defintely learn a lot. She gets all my chili peppers.

Excellent Professor, one of the best at Kean, prior to this class i had no interest in this subject but after taking it, she has changed my views. i highly recommend her, just do the readings and do the two papers assigned and present them (which are super easy and you can even read them)

=UNBIASED REVIEW= Keil is a sweetheart, period. She is very knowledgeable on her subject of expertise, and is able to convey her ideas effectively. Most of her lessons inspire thought and questioning, which help make the class memorable. Take her if possible.

Professor Keil is extremely intelligent and completely understanding. She is such a sweetheart and is willing to explain and elaborate in any way necessary. She is extremely helpful and uses the book often. She assigns homework and you HAVE TO DOING THE READINGS. All tests are on the readings. She is very nice and understanding.

I get angry when I read the comments of average Kean students. She is by no means a "horribe" professor. Simply because a professor does not hand out easy A's, does not mean they are incompetant. Honestly she is one of the BEST professors I have taken at Kean. She is an extremely intelligent person, and has inspired me to minor in Sociology.

understandable professor, gives extra credit because students do tend to fail her tests a couple of times. very boring, i fell asleep countless times, i think she bores herself too. as long as you show up to class and do group work your ok.

Dr. Keil is an exceptional teacher. I have had her for SOC 1000, Soc Stats and Methods. She is not easy but is very clear about what she expects. This last semester she was a little off but im sure she will be back to normal soon. If you go to her classes, read what is assigned and pay attention anyone can do well.

Day dreaming is likely to occur during class. She does not bend any of her rules for anyone, so make sure you read her sylubus thoroughly!
