I highly recommend taking prof. Ganson for programming. I took 154,204,254 with him. His energy while teaching will tell you how enthusiasts he is about programming. His way of teaching his course is you might use one paper, rest of the work is online through his website. He teaches tools that can make thousands of dollars in real life.

When I started Information Technology at Nassau community college I used to hate Web programming until i came across Prof. Ganson. My whole prospective changed. His form of teaching is very unique. I took ITE 154, ITE 204, and ITE 254 with him. All he wants is to get your homeworks and projects done ON TIME. Now i am confident enough to proceed.

One of my favorite professors I've had in college so far. Really good at explaining topics of IT and has extensive knowledge on his expertise. I would 100% take him again. Weekly homework and a few tests, super fair professor.

Hands down one of the best teachers Ive had. Makes everything clear and understandable, and hes an all around good guy who brings positive energy into the class. I took him for a math class, but I can imagine his comp sci classes would give you the same result.

Professor Ganson, us an amazing teacher. He trully is passionate about his math. He breaks it down in the simplist forms. I've been out of school for over 20 years and he made this so understanding. He gives you the confidence to move forward. I cannot wait to take his 002 class. I wouldn't take any other professor. Great guy.

Professor Ganson makes a difficult subject simple with his lecture style. Examples are clear and easy to follow, questions are encouraged, and assignments are relevant and instructional. Don't skip class, everything he does one day will be based on what he did the day before. A nice general plus is his website, which makes keeping up on work easy.

He is one of the best IT professor at Nassau. I am an IT major and got my associates in IT. I personally think that Ganson is the best at what he do and knows a lot about programming. He is the only guy i would miss after i graduate. You always learn something new in his class. Just 2 classes with him and you learned a lot of programming.

Never have I met a guy more enthusiastic about programming. If you're stumped, a quick Google search will solve all your problems. Basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript, with roughly 10-11 homework assignments (15%), 3 projects (25%), and 3 exams (60%). Clear-cut assignments, and uploads all his work to his website. I can't recommend Ganson enough.

I'm at the end of the road for my major, I've taken many different classes in different departments, in all honesty, best teacher I've ever had from Preschool to now. Ganson is an amazing teacher! Took him for ITE154, transferred to a different school wish my programming professors were like him! He was the only one who would give useful examples in class, then assign work which both made you think. When doing HW always looked backed at the great examples he gave, programming teachers need to learn from him!

Comment:

There isn't much interactivity. He throws code at you without allowing you to try to problem solve yourself besides homework assignments. If you run into a problem, he's more likely to differ you to Google or a browser debugger, as to not interrupt the flow of his lecture. I'm not having trouble in his class but I know many who are. Beware.
