absolutely the worst professor in this school. he is so unorganized it makes your head spin. he constantly makes mistakes when teaching. he refuses to get a new edition of the book. so what he teaches hardy lines up with the chapters, and what he teaches doesn't line up with the my finance lab. so his exams are basically material you've never seen

One of the more difficult classes I've taken but he is a very nice guy and knows what he is talking about. You have to go to class or you will be lost. Homework is easy and helpful exams are tough and you need to study. He helps with any difficulty and genuinely wants you to do well.

Hecht makes a hard class much easier by breaking down content and hammering home key points. He also curves midterm. There are three tests. Make sure you do well on the first (short answer) because the other two (multiple choice) are much harder. Outstanding teacher that wants his students to succeed. Absolutely recommend! Also is very funny.

Hecht is a great guy, but be ready for a hard class. I got a B, but I really had to work hard. The class is mostly based on three hard tests (1 open ended, 1 multiple choice, the last is multiple choice cumulative).

A nice guy but his class is pretty poorly structured. This was econometrics. Missing two homeworks would drop your grade one letter. Homework took hours and it was graded. Hes a smart guy but his teaching was all over the place and didnt explain anything very well.

Classes: Corp Finance, Comm Bank Mgmt, Econometrics. Hecht is an excellent professor who really cares about teaching. Quirky humor. He's a bit disorganized at times, but he will always answer questions. He asks that you attend class and be respectful. He's an extremely fair grader and he rewards your effort. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

While economics can be a dry and boring subject, Hecht does his absolute best to make it interesting and relevant. He is very dedicated to his students, wanting to make sure everyone understands his lectures. He really puts his heart into his work.

His handwriting on the board needs to improve, and should use the eraser more often. First test seems easy on one chapter five questions but don't be fooled because the following tests will be harder even though they are multiple choice. He can be funny at times.

Nice guy. Tries to be funny, which makes class a little less boring/dry. Tough subject though and seemed confused when trying to explain certain topics. Do the homework..it well def. boost up your grade in the end! 2 exams and a final (and yes, he curves a bit). Overall, I would say he's prob. the best finance prof. to take, compared to the rest.

Finance is a tough subject, no doubt about it, but Hecht does his best to make it clear. If you go to class, do your homework, and pay attention you'll do OK. I really learned a lot and, although the subject material is difficult, did ok.

He explains the material very well and makes hard concepts easy. BUT, there is mandatory graded HW and hard tests that are NEVER curved. And oh yea... you need to get a 97 for an "A" and a 92 would get you a "B+"

Very nice teacher....tries to be funny which is funny. lol. But tests are super hard. I studied for 3 days for the final and only got a 71. Second test was ridiculous, I knew 2 people that passed. Do the homeworks-they will help your grade. Take notes, although they don't help that much. READ it will help. And print out the things on course reserve

Mr. Hecht genuinely cares about students. He makes a great effort to. You must take great notes because his tests are based on both the class notes and the text book. Make sure to study the notes well, including all the handouts and articles. If you study you should be able to do well. Make sure to do well in the first exam and will get an "A".

takes attendance like high school. weird grading scale, 93+ is an A, etc. tests are ok, def go to class. he gets sidetracked sometimes and forgets alot, probably wont cover all material. watch out if u take CFin2. on our final ch 8 and 9 questions were extra credit cause he didnt teach them by then. nice guy tho.. better then then other choices..

Take him!! He genuinely cares about his students and that they're learning. He spent most of his career in the insurance industry, but it's obvious he loves teaching. That said, he does go a little fast and kind of expects students to have some knowledge in statistics. Finance sucks, period. This is as good as it can be.

Helps the class as much as is needed to understand the information. Really stresses the importance of the information to you with good examples that can help you manage even your personal money for the rest of your life. His mannarisms are warm, comforting and fun. All in all, helpful, knowledgable, thorough.
