Comment:

Professor Phillips is the most defensive and unclear professor I've ever had. He is awful at explaining the projects that were our main grades for the semester. The projects are confusing and dumb and he expects you to do more work than he's actually explaining. Ask him a question or give feedback, you'll receive a defensive and rude response.

I've had professor Phillips for two of his special topic marketing classes and did the same Facebook project in both classes. He's really rude and his classes don't make sense at all, but you'll definitely get an A so just stick it out !!

I am a senior, and he is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He expects us to go all out for projects he doesn't even explain. Also I cannot count how many times he has gone around the room to get an answer from everybody for the most irrelevant questions, it makes me feel like I am in elementary school. He is extremely rude, would give a 0

I was pretty disappointing in this class mainly because we didn't really learn anything related to marketing. It was essentially a tourism class that centered around discussion and only a couple assignments. Prof Phillips is nice and tries to start discussion, but sometimes comes across a little rude and condescending to students.

Phillips never gave any guidelines for anything in this class but expected you to go above and beyond. He claimed he didnt expect much, but you have to read 3 books all at the same time, and are expected to attend every class, with the constant threat of a pop quiz every day. Dont take him if you do not have to. He is impossible.

I had Dr. Phillips for International MKT and MKT in the media. Both classes he was incredibly unfair, favored the students that went abroad with him, did not give guidelines for any projects (worth 50% of ur grade) then graded them harshly and unfairly. Unable to talk to him because he cannot be reasonable. I would not take him if you dont have to

Terrible teacher!! Attendance is basically mandatory, because if he sees a lot of students are absent he'll give out a pop quiz. Doesn't post grades or assignments to the universities website, but instead makes you join a secret Facebook page. Professor is also very sarcastic and condescending. Didn't learn anything in this class.

Class is a waste of time and he's condescending. will dock points for a laptop/phone if its seen. All you do is watch movies in the class, never teaches. Typically wouldn't complain about a movie based class but when there are a ton of other things that you could be doing its a waste. Pop quizzes for attendance. Movies are unrelated to class topic

His assignments are very unstructured. Syllabus has a few sentences for each assignment with not much detail. Although if you ask him, he will give you more guidance. Overall, he is very nice and helpful. He will extend dead lines if the class asks.

Every review I've read is claiming that Dr. P is such a horrible professor. However, I can honestly say that if you do the work and build a relationship with him in class, there is no reason that you wouldn't like him. I am taking another one of his classes next semester and couldn't be more excited.

Even if I sat through class and took thorough notes on what was being said, I never did well on the exams. Exam content relies heavily on relating the content of the homework to what was kind of touched on in class. Dr. P did see that I had been to class regularly and completed every HW so he did bump my grade to help me.

"Dr." P thoroughly enjoys talking about every topic but what the exams will cover. He will cross the line and waste time with certain topics he talks about. Even dropped the "r" word in a class this semester. He also brings up his study abroad programs and how he went to Penn State at least twice a class. I have no idea how he is tenured.

Jason Phillips will ramble and talk about practically everything except for the material covered on the exams. Nice guy, with a strange sense of humor who seems to enjoy teaching. However, he cannot teach and really makes students unmotivated to put in effort in his class.

Dr. P. is simply not cut out to be a teacher. He provides pointless lectures that cover little to nothing to do with the test material. The tests are all multiple choice and ask extremely specific questions from the text. His lectures have nothing to do with the exams. In my third year here at WCU, he is hands down the worst professor I've had.

He is terrible, you learn absolutely nothing. I recommend not taking him for any classes. The fact hes teaching a section of International Marketing is next Spring, is a terrible idea and I cannot believe West Chester is allowing it. His lectures are pointless, he's not a professor, he's a guy who stands in front of a class and talks nonsense

DR P IS THE MOST POORLY PREPARED PROFESSOR I HAD SO FAR AT WCU. HE HAS NO REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE AND SO MINDLESSLY READS THE TEXT'S POWER POINTS. HE GIVES THE TRICKIEST EXAMS ABOUT THE MOST MINOR POINTS FROM THE TEXT CHAPTERS. HE MAKES YOU ATTEND AS YOU COULD JUST STAY IN YOUR APT, MEMORIZE THE TEXT, AND SCORE AN A- GRADE AS I DID.

I received one of the few A-'s only because I taught myself from the text. I found an instructor profile of him Googling the American College of Norway website. Such BS! It says "he has received a number of student-sponsored awards naming him an outstanding teacher and faculty member." Here he goes again writing his only good evaluations HIMSELF!

Jason was the worst professor ever. He joked around and barely taught me anything. He gave the worst exams when he did show up for class. I may as well just have read the text on my own like with an online course for what he was worth.
