Class is pretty much a "teach yourself" course. The textbook is solid, so if you can learn from that you will do fine. Assignments are relatively simple and exams are fair. Instructor seems like a nice guy, but due to the online nature of the course, I did not really interact with him.

I had taken this Professor for Java 111B Course Online Spring 2017. I really enjoyed taken this class. Really appreciated his videos; it had a personal touch. And, I think this guy was FAB! Wish I could take him for more classes.

For example, the concept of Generics was not covered. However, we need it for CS111C.

Schatz is pretty awesome. I took him his in-person class for 110B and his online class for 111B. He assigns the standard amount of homework, which can be challenging, but that's why we decided to become computer scientists, isn't it? He made us work in groups for the in-person classes, which is brilliant. For online, discussion boards. Laid back.

The worst Java professor ever in ccsf. He usually finishes two or three chapters in one class and then gives you homework. He often makes mistakes during class. He barely has feedback about your hw. The exam doesn't associate with your practice. Don't take his class.

He's a really good professor. He'll help you out if you need it and during his exams you can view the book if you're having troubles. It's all about application of what you're learning and it's really fun. I became an app developer in JAVA in just a year.

Fantastic professor! This guy is very resourceful and nice. His homework and exams are easy, as they are mostly materials covered in lecture. I came out of his class with better techniques and understanding of the material. Highly recommend taking him.

Very helpful and fair grader on assignments. He's willing to help and always makes sure you understand the materials. Try to show him how much you are interested in programming, he will help you get through it. He should have more examples of codes on his website. He's very smart and his exam is quite hard if you don't do your homework.

Class is very easy and fun if you enjoy coding, but I recommend getting a good view of the screen while he explains. A lot of hands on coding. He tells you to buy a book, but you just read the book on your own to get extra information. Without the book will do as he teaches what you need to know in class. Take his class if interested in coding.

H Really Knows his stuff with a Masters in Computer Science. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot if you do something wrong. His Finals are extremely difficult if you haven't kept up and Extremely easy if you have.

Very understanding and flexible professor! He is very chill and open to accommodating any problems you may have. I took his class online so I can't attest to his lecturing skills, but I can say that he was active in the forums. His only small fault is that he is a bit of a slow grader, compared to other professors. Highly recommended otherwise!
