Professor Witt grades papers pretty hard... He does encourage students to ask him to clarify anything he's written on essays once he hands them back, but he didn't give rubrics for any essay or any guidance on how he expects them to be written beforehand. He didn't post any grades online so also hard to keep track of what you have in the class.

Really nice and chill guy. He loves teaching the subject and makes the class somewhat interesting. Definitely the funniest teacher i have EVER had. Only thing is that he's a HARD grader. He says himself that he barely gives out A's. If you're looking to get a good grade, do NOT take his class. If you want to improve ur writing, then take his class.

Mr. Witt isn't the greatest teacher. He was never clear on the homework and he would always look so frustrated/ angry when the class would ask questions about it. He grades SUPER hard. also, he can be rude to certain students if he doesn't like what there saying. I wouldn't take his class ever again.

Witt is a good teacher. He thrives off of controversy and is very sarcastic. He wants people to actually think critically and care about what we are talking about. I would recommend him if you are willing to work hard in a class. His average grades are around the c area

I don't know why people say bad things about him? He let's you know what he expects and as long as you do them you will get a good grade. Not an easy grader but he's fair. I have learned A LOT in this class. Totally a better writer. I got a B and never in my life have I ever written an essay before this class. TAKE HIM! You won't regret it.

He's a pretty nice guy but he doesn't really teach much just discusses readings and you have to write essays from the given prompts. He is a hard essay grader. Also if you suck at english(like me) don't take him you won't learn much. Let's us go early a lot though. Haha.

Do not take this teacher. He has his own way of writing and will not accept any other way. Class time is usually spent talking about what's going on in the world. He cusses way too much and makes many comments such as "damn, she is hot!" or "when i saw this one girl bending over i was thinking, "i'd tap that"". immature and ignorant.

I was very dissappointed. Jason passed out handouts with tips for writing but there was no actual teaching on them or added expamples by him. There is only one chance to improve one essay. He was teaching seven other classes. Maybe he just didn't have the time. I would not recommend him.

Witt really does take the time to help each individual in his class, and you can tell he cares alot for his students. I am a bit afraid of him in class as he can be quite intimidating at times. He is never actually mean or angry but may pretend it to get your attention (he's a good actor) but all in all hes a good teacher and a good guy.

Professor Witt is a great teacher. He cares about each person in his class. As long as they are there to learn, he will go out of his way to help. Each person is equally important to him; therefore, he doesn’t have favorites. The people who do not do well in his class, doesn’t pull their own weight. To Professor Witt, I salute you!

He already resents you! But seriously, it seems like he doesn't even like what he does for a living. I would much rather be in a class with a teacher who enjoys teaching, or can at least pretend like they do. The comments he wrote on papers were insulting at best, bring a pillow if he is going to lecture, readings were kind of off too. Sad!
